Why do kids wear so much makeup?

In my opinion, I think it's fine for 12+ kids to wear makeup, except if they wear heavy makeup. lol.

I haven't read through all the comments, so I apologize if I repeat what someone else already said! No offense to anyone that thinks different, but does it really matter how much makeup they wear? It's their face. Lots of girls go through a stage where they want to wear lots of makeup and experiment with it, simply because it's FUN. When you get to middle school, you feel like you have moved into a new stage of life, and want to start wearing some makeup. When I was around 7th grade, I started wearing some, and eventually I started to wear a full face like you said. I eventually grew out of it, as I did lots of other things. Around the time of my 10th grade year, I realized wearing all that makeup everyday was a little silly, and I looked better with less on anyway. I'm sure most of the girls that have that stage in middle school grow out of it as well!

Because society makes girls want to be older and want to look pretty. Its quite sad. I'm so glad I enjoyed being a kid. This gen grows up too fast and end up ruining ther faces and wasting money.

I didn't where any makeup when I was in 6th but I did in 7th. And those of you who think younger girls where make up to look older, I don't agree at all. I don't want to get old I mean literally I'm going to cry the day I won't be a kid/teen/young adult anymore! Well probably not literally but yeah. For me, I wore makeup because I was never confident in myself without it. All my friends had perfect skin while I didn't. It was to help me b more me and less shy.

I agree. When I was that young I only wore eyeliner and mascara, and to this day that's pretty much all I wear along with blush and Chapstick. I only wear full face to dance competitions.

It's their face, not yours. You guys should leave them alone about it. They may be insecure and that's why they do it. I used to wear a lot of makeup because I had acne, but I grew out of that. Let them be , if that's how they feel confident, then good for them!

Read ** and seriously, do you ever get bored of saying "why should we care?" Maybe because, gasp, people are shocked at the decreasing gap between childhood, teens, and adult hood? It doesn't mean it's the #1 thing on their priorities. If you don't care, then I don't understand why you *have* to comment saying, "why do you all care so much?"

Ha thanks Danielle!! The whole point I was also trying to prove all day. Everyone has there opinions and in threads such as this everyone is going to comment agreeing and not agreeing!! Some feel strongly about there and take it to far which is why I did (to Dana) I know I was one you were calling out. You all are to harsh and don't expect to get opinions different that are just as harsh as yours!! Expect negative and in your case positive feed back it's a social media come on now what do you expect lol!!

Uh, it is a fact that EVERYONE can comment on this. It's also a fact that this post asks what older girls think. If you think that is an opinion you have some serious issues. An opinion is something someone believes or feels that isn't necessarily true. A fact is something obvious and true.

Having class and maturity has nothing to do with why you can't argue with a fact. And anyone with the slightest bit of common sense would understand the difference between fact and opinion, and you don't obviously. Because apparently it is "my opinion" that this post says something. That's a new one. >.>;
