Ok, that's really awesome. Do you cosplay at conventions as well? Not going to paint myself pink or yellow but I kinda wanna do a Mew or Jirachi from Pokemon now...Whelp, heading into the bathroom now to play in stuff. :D In the mean time here's me in a partially homemade Umbreon costume from Otakon 3 years ago.

buy a wig! they're like $10-$15 from the cheap superstores, thats where I got most of the makeup I used for this.
I bought the wax from eBay.
I prefer to do looks like this than standard makeup.

So I did more so an inspired look then anything else.

Urban Decay Deluxe Shadow - $12 for both colors
NYX Jumbo Pencil - $5
Hard Candy Liner - $5

But you should go to conventions, they're a load of fun!

I went as Applejack from My Little Pony a few months back. The clothes I already had. Blonde wig: $10, Hat: $5, Markers for cutie mark patch: $3, Apple that I ate befor I even got to the party: 15¢ in my school lunch line. Lol ps. The pic was taken on my phone so you can't really see the makeup but I had bronzer and freckles I drew on with an eyeliner pencil.

@Erin: yeah I really want to go to one, but they don't have a lot of them here (I'm from Australia)

Ohhh, that would do it. Here in the states it's pretty much con season right now and cosplayers are going nuts. But you should definitely try for one. With your makeup skills you'd be a hit I'm sure.

And @Mairead the interment can be sooo helpful. My friend had hair down to almost her bum and managed to fit it all under a wig cap. The Internet is an interesting place.

@Mairead: yeah my partner and I live in our own place with two cats so after the bills and groceries are paid for we have maybe $50.00 left each week, so I know how you feel.
