I messed up on my hair!

Hi everyone!

So I had very black virgin hair. but I bleached it last week with 40 developer, it became a really brassy light brown after leaving it in for an hour and 20 minutes. I used purple shampoo to tone down the brassyness and went right over it with blue velvet from special effects. after leaving it in my hair for 3 hours I washed it out only to have my hair go back to black with an indigo tint.
I'm trying to strip the color with sulfate shampoo. does anyone have any suggestions on what I could do? I plan to to bleach it with 40 peroxide again.

Honestly I would say to go to a salon and get your hair done rather than trying to fix it yourself and possibly cause a lot of damage.

First of all, please don't ever use 40vol on your hair again, it will fry it off and make it snap in all kinds of places, I'd recommend 20 or 30 at most and never exceed an hour on your hair, bleach deactivates after a certain amount of time on hair and after an hour is just causing excess damage. What colour are you trying to go? Do you have a picture? It doesn't sound like you're very experienced with bleach, if you'd post a picture of your Current hair and colour you want I can try and help a bit better

I personally would go to a salon, but Shaye is excellent with hair color and has a lot of personal experience with dramatic color changes so I'd absolutely heed her warning.
