You literally want to be comfy, and I wouldn't recommend sandals or any soft shoe because your feet get stood on, especially if you're going to the concerts within the festival. Wellies or boots are the best, I wore either ankle boots or Wellies the whole time I was at a festival this summer. Denim shorts are probably the best to wear because you get multiple wears out of them, a fanny pack/Bum bag because they keep your valuables really close to you at all times. Wouldn't wear anything light as even if it doesn't rain it can be muddy or dusty and stuff might get wrecked. You can wear any top you want really, although I wouldn't recommend long sleeve as you'll get really hot. Remember to cover yourself in Suncream, bring sunglasses and tie a rain mac around your waist or a hoodie or put a rain poncho in your bag even if it isn't due to rain. Here's a few pictures of when I went, this is what I found best to wear :)

Also I wouldn't advise wearing a hat as there's a chance it'll get pinched off your head. And don't take an umbrella, you'll be disliked by the whole crowd as people won't be able to see. What festival are you going to?

I've literally just looked up the lineup and that is a fab lineup, I've seen Two Door Cinema Club, Nothing But Thieves, Cage the Elephant, Foals, Die Antwoord and Jack Garratt at Reading festival in the UK and they were all fab, really jealous that City and Colour and Melanie Martinez are on the lineup! Have a great time x
