So some of you may have heard about Marinello schools of Beauty getting shut down. This affected many people including me, whom only had 96 hours left to complete. My two options now are, take those hours to another school and remain with the the same debt from Marinello. Or get Loan forgiveness and completely restart the program at another school. If you had the chance to restart school, would you?
I feel confident enough to get a job at this day and time, however I feel like there is always more to learn.
Do I give up 10 months of blood sweat and tears for a refresh? Or take that and finish out and go from there?
What would you do?
I'd love to hear everyone's input
Thank you so much!

I Heard about this and I'm very sorry. I have a few friends that went there and I was actually going to enroll myself. That beeing said I would take the hours to another school. To me restarting would almost be a waste of 10 months you already did. What ever you do good luck (:

If you are in the position to pay off the school (if thats what you mean by debt) then I would pay them off and switch schools.. I mean it sounds like you have to go to new school either way it goes. If you feel like you could restart the program I would do that. I just finished school for esthetics so I completely understand but if I could do it again I would! Sometimes life just puts you in situations that you could never plan for and I think this is just one of them for you! But either way you need your license! So don't give up! Good luck😊

If Marinello gets a tarnished reputation from that incident, then I would restart! If not I'd just finish it out :)

Though giving it some thought... If you continued would having two different schools on your resume look good in the beauty industry? I'm not a professional by any means but just trying to think of things that can affect you in an industry where reputation means a lot.

I think it depends on what other school you pick going to. What schools are your options?

I would restart if I were you! Yes, it will require even more time and more patience but think of it this way! You have opportunity to learn about something twice from two different programs. Which is pretty cool since you will get to decide and figure out your own style of things because now you will know two ways of doing it which will allow you to come up with your own technique of beauty:) also those schools are shutting down because they are not preparing their students correctly for jobs, and how to use the work you do in the world. So also by starting over you will get the chance to learn more about that. So yeah-I would say go for it again. If it's something you really want to do, it can't hurt to learn it twice! You'll just become even better at it!:) good luck!

My studies were 5 years already competed an additional 5 ongoing, so if I had to restart 10 months to get a diploma from a better school I would.
