So I have so many scars from popping blemishes etc.etc.and they're so noticeable when I don't wear makeup. it doesn't help that I'm super light. how can I get rid of these? even a treatment or procedure, I'll save up for that no problem lol. I just really want these suckers gone. :( it makes it look like I have acne and I do not, they're just super red and super noticeable without make up and it makes me so self conscious. skincare experts, help!!

I'm so tired of wearing foundation or any face products but I just don't feel comfortable in my own skin yet with these stupid pests.

I have some dark marks from past pimples. The Clinique Dark Spot corrector is phenomenal for lightening my marks. Not sure if that'll work on your scars, but may be worth a try.

Ahh..thank you Erika :) I'll look into that. I'm scared about products because the ones I want to try are so expensive..and for them not to work? grr...lol.

I'm definitely not a skincare expert, but I have the same problem! I stayed without BC for a year and started getting blemishes...As soon as one went away, another one came out. I just started BC again and my skin is already much better but I still have the red marks.
I've been using a vitamin C serum, high spf sunscreen during the day and AHAs at night.
I'd like to know if what I'm doing is right! ;)

Breeze, that's a great way to address your red marks. Brava!
People are often nervous about peels, but not all peels are invasive. You may want to consider a Yellow peels and Glycolic Peels are both effective with scarring. You may want to visit a reputable MedSpa. They usually offer a free consultation and examine skin to determine which peel would be best based on your needs. Some charge for consultation, but if you have a facial peel, that fee is applied toward the peel..meaning your consultation was free.
You can also ask the about Microdermabrasion using diamond tips.
Breeze is certainly taking a fantastic, at-home approach, which can be used even after a spa visit to continue progress.

Hey :) I'm on the same boat as you. Just wanted to say best of luck! I know how hard it is and it really sucks when you feel as though you can't leave the house. You're not alone! My dermatologist has me on Retin-A and so far it's been getting rid of red spots (little by little). Slowly I'm getting more comfortable with my skin!

When I went on bc my skin went CRAZY. I had painful cysts constantly and once one went away it left a dark mark on my face which wasn't helping. I went to a derm and he put me on an antibiotic and a topical, it didn't work, then I went back and got a new prescription, it didn't work either. The best thing I did for my skin was wait it out. It took a few months but my skin finally calmed down and then I bought the Mario Bedescu brightening kit from ulta and it helped my scars IMMACULATELY!! It comes with a wash, toner, vitamin C serum, and a mask. I never used to leave the house without foundation on, even to the gym because it was literally that bad but now my skin is great. I feel so confident and happy with my skin now that I would definitely recommend the brightening kit.
Sorry for the long response lol

I'm also suffering from acne scars. Severe ones.. Super red and noticeable even with makeup.. I've been using Vitamin C serum and I can already see a small difference. They're still pretty bad but they're starting to fade. However, I think the serum may be breaking me out so I have to stop using it!🙃
