What are you using it for? Oral or topical?

Is it true that manuka honey can help with rosacea or acne? Sorry if wrong here.

Yes it can help with acne. I use it if I have a really angry one haha. Only con is that it is just very sticky.. I use it at night, during the day I use tea tree oil
I use the one called medihoney (100% honey paste, NOT gel) and it is purchasable through Amazon. Also great for cuts and burns. This is the one they use at hospitals for wounds... But this is super potent honey from New Zealand and it is the nectar from the Manuka tree (same or similar to the tree that tea tree oil is from) which is why it is very anti inflammatory and and anti bacterial.

Wow great! Maybe I shall try it. I have rosacea hope it helps :)
Does it reduce the acne?

Yes of course it does reduce acne, I have no idea if it helps Rosacea as I don't have it but it definitely works for acne! :)

No I don't take pictures of my breakouts haha. Sadly I don't have any to show you. Regular mainstream honey will not work. It's too processed and may be mixed in with other artificial coloring or ingredients. That's why when you consume this type of honey to relieve colds or sore throat does not work. Therefore, a big part of consumers think honey is not healing. You have to use pure Manuka honey that's where the anti bacterial properties come from (malaleuca tree). If topical, I use the medihoney.
My acne / breakouts aren't very bad. I get one to two deep ones every month during that time of the month. It's what I use to cease it, it works for me but things don't work for everyone. I use Manuka honey or tea tree oil. But anyway, That's why each person should just try it to see if it works for them, granted they are not allergic to honey. It's multi purpose, right now I'm using it for a wound from a mole removal (ugh) it doesn't hurt anyone to try (again, unless you're allergic) this product is part of my skin care and it's in my beauty counter in the bathroom haha!
To the original question, the way you can find good Manuka honey for consumption is through this site

Not everyone believes in the grading system and that's their choice, but it might be something you want to consider when chosing a honey for your skin. I personally find the grading system to be very helpful when choosing honey for my skin.
For more info about those labels on honey and what they mean, this article is very helpful, as is Livi's article.

Rozberry, you're back! Lol :) missed ya!
Just FYI for those seeking new Manuka honey. Comvita is in the list for good quality honey. Medihoney is their sister company for topical use. But honestly the only difference is that it's travel friendly since it's a tube and a bit more sanitary since you aren't dipping anything inside the actual honey hehe.

Livi it sounds like you prefer the paste. Is there a particular reason? I'm thinking about ordering it from Amazon. I had an allergic reaction to a product in January and am still suffering from very deep and painful acne cysts. I've been to the dermatologist but they keep pushing for Accutane. I had a bad experience with Accutane in the past and don't want to start that again so am desperate to find another option.

The paste is 100% Manuka honey. The gel is 80% with some other ingredients. I don't know why they bother to make a gel with only 80%? Beats me, lol I rather have one ingredient. I just use it for spot treating on my face at night and wash off the next day. I bought mine from Amazon as well. Just FYI, Manuka honey is not a miracle cure so I don't want everyone to think that it works in an instant. My acne on my face isn't really that bad just one or two every month but the Manuka honey really do make it go away with little blemish.
I also have other skincare regime that plays a big part on the skin on my face as well. BHA, vitamin c, moisturizer, toner, etc.

If it takes away some of the redness and swelling I would be happy. I prefer more natural products anyway. I may try it out. I'm still seeing my derm so not going in alone.
