So I recently found out that I have PCOS ( poly cystic ovarian syndrome) it's basically a hormonal imbalance. So with that being said, it causes acne on my cheeks and chin and its frustrating because once I get my skin clear I start to break out again and I also have acne scars on my cheeks 😟.
Is there any products you can suggest that will help with my acne and scars?

I think since your acne is hormonal regular acne treatments won't be much help. I would talk to your doctor/gyno about any birth control that may help.
As for the scarring, make sure you're wearing SPF everyday otherwise they won't heal or just get darker; I suggest something with vitamin C as well like The Body Shop Vitamin C Moisturizer SPF 30 or Murad Essential-C Moisturizer SPF 30. I also suggest the Boscia Exfoliating Peel Gel, it's very gentle but super effective at exfoliating and acts as a chemical peel as well.

SPF is extremely important for hyper pigmentation or the scarring as it prevents sun damage and lessens your skins exposure to UV (duh haha). So what I recommend is washing with something that is not very chemically based, perhaps Tea Tree Oil or African Black Soap, then moisturise with something that is again not as chemically based but still provides SPF such as QV products. By implementing more natural and calming products into your regime hopefully it can help you out with your acne ☺️ Also (I do this) at night to provide even more moisture to the skin I apply coconut oil (a small amount do it soaks in) and the next morning your skin will feel soft and hopefully less red 👍🏻

I had HORRIBLE hormonal acne due to my BC. It took months of different products, regimens, prescription medicines and nothing seemed to work. I was so frustrated I stopped taking the prescription my derm gave me and just waited it out and it took about 2 months but my skin is amazing now. I stopped breaking out however I did still have scars. I bought the Mario Bedescu brightening kit and it helped TREMENDOUSLY with my scars and hyper pigmentation I highly recommend it!! And for moisturizer I use the garnier skin active brightener which has vitamin e+c and spf.

Mario Badescu buffering lotion for cystic acne which I'm guessing is what you have. It's the absolute only thing that's worked for me:)

I had awful hormonal acne. Nothing really worked at all as topical products can't impact it per my dermatologist. I was given a prescription for spironolactone and its amazing! No breakouts ever!!

Thank you Angela. I'm not experiencing cystic acne. It's just small bumps like the pimples you'd get before your period comes on.
Maggie, I've heard about that while I was doing research. I hear the side effects were bad and it's really not good for you. My obgyn told me to take saw palmetto along with some other vitamins and once my testosterone level goes back to normal then my acne will stop. I hope so!
