Hey lovely ladies,
it's starting to get cold here in Australia so I can't tan naturally anymore?? so I thought about trying a fake tan.
Now I have never tried any type of fake tanning before so I'm asking for personal experience and recommendations. Is at home tanning too difficult? Is it inevitable that a fake tan will look/become blotchy?
Would you recommend a spray tan over at home tanning?
please feel free to add your own oppions etc.
Thank you in advance!!

The only tanning method I use is self tanning. I love the jergens natural glow self tanner. I exfoliate before I apply and I love that its a gradual tanner. (:

It is worth it if you like the tan look. I use either jergens foam or lotion for a gradual tan. these work just as well as faster working tanners but they help me build up to the colour and to get it on more evenly. I highly suggest it because it is so easy.

In all my experience with self tanners I've ended up looking horribly streaky and unnatural. I'm also incredibly pale and haven't tried self tanning in a few years and I know the products have gotten much better. However, I do really love the Benefit Hoola Body Bronzer. It know it's not a gradual tanner, but it's really nice for a quick, temporary tan for a night out or something. I'm literally two shades lighter than porcelain and I have zero problems with it turning an unnatural color. It washes right off if you manage to make a mistake with it too! although I've never looked streaky or anything with it.

I ALWAYS use the Marc Inbane fake tanner. Its the best I have ever used. Its a really natural looking color and not orange at all or anything. And it doesn't get streaky or blotchy because it comes with this glove where you have to spray the product on and rub in on your skin. It works in like 10 minutes! I also always scrub my whole body before I put in on since that gives the most even result for fake tanning after. It comes in a black bottle with a black glove-like thingy. I love it so much!

Tanning is only worth it if you want tan skin. it's better than sitting in the sun trying to get a tan bc that can cause skin cancer. especially since you live in Australia where the ozone layer is pretty much depleted. for a great fake tan try loving tan.

Fake tan products are generally amazing now I think! so much better than 5-10 years ago :) the only reason they will go patchy or streaky is if you don't apply them right. I've tried ALOT of tanners and Fake Bake is my ultimate fav! and apply with a foam mitt! x

I've personally been loving the L'orèal Sublime Bronze liquid.
If a self tanner end up streaky you either put too much or you got wet when it was processing.
What I do is I make sure to exfoliate and moisturize and then I put a small amount and really work it into my skin.
Let it stay on my skin for a few hours to let it develop.
You want to avoid sweating and such so that it doesn't get streaky.
It'll look orange but once you've let it develop for at least an hour you can rinse it off and it won't be orange it'll just be a nice tint. You can add more in a couple of days till you've reached your desired tan but the first application I would only a very very slight difference which is good. If you apply too much at once then you'll end up orange same goes if you apply a shade too dark.
I would take my time and it's come out perfectly every time
