No matter how well I take care of my skin once in a while I'll get a big paiful acne cyst. Any tips or products you use?

I think the best thing to do would be to see a dermatologist as they'll probably be able to give you the best products for your skin issues.

I used to get those all the time. drink tons of water and I used an acne kit from Clinque and after 2 days my acne hardly ever came back.

It sounds like you may be getting the occasional infected hair follicle. Sometimes it's a bacteria within the body and antibiotics are prescribed or Niacinamide pills are recommended. After time, you are dosed down to a very low maintenance dose or off completely. Often topical antibiotics or Retin A is prescribed to pair with oral meds.

Even if you keep skin clean, certain products can congest skin or irritate the follicle.
Drying products, for example, or certain heavy oils or paraffin can bring on these type of cysts in people who are prone to cystic acne or infected follicles. (two different conditions)
A Clairsonic keeps things deep cleaned. I'm not a doctor, but instead just sharing what *might* be the issue from what you've posted. A hot compress applied a few times a day should help a bit. I'd avoid waxy products and certainly mineral oil and denatured alcohol in my products.

My best advice is to see reputable Derm.
No matter what it is, these deep types of bumps can leave scars. I'd make an appointment when I had a cyst or giant bump to show them.

Mario Badescu buffering lotion is the only thing I've found to work and it works FAST too! Doesn't dry out the skin around it making it look crusty and worse and brings swelling down within an hour. Reduces the pain within minutes. I hated my life before I found this product pretty much lol.

^ Yes, this. It is one of the few products I have with alcohol, but it is pretty fantastic.
