I agree it's Hannah. The UD setting sprays are great... I was having really dry skin, and all of a sudden I'm back to being an oil slick?? So I set my makeup with the UD setting spray, and it helps!!

Try moisturising only at night and just prime in the morning. Either that or invest in a longer lasting foundation

Use a setting powder if you are using cream or liquid foundation! It helps keep your foundation in place and control the oils on your face. An all time favourite is the Rimmel Stay matte translycent powder!

It might be the skin-care items that might be affecting your makeup process. If so, try finding a skin-care based oil-free moisturizer with a priming benefit so that it does its job with your skin but has a primer effect to it as well.

Hmmmm what foundation and primer are you using. I've heard you need to match the bases. So water based primer with water based foundation, etc.

Does it say you can use it as a primer as well? Like Pores No More or just a mattifying gel that will help. Or spray UD All Nighter before you put your makeup on THEN after as well. It's 16 hold compared to Deslick which is 6-8 hours. That might help.

Skindinavia no more shine works really good

Okay this really isn't recommended by a lot of people but I'm one to dry my skin out a little bit. I only use a little bit of Lush's Vanish Cream for moisturizer, and Yes to Tomatoes gel acne cleanser really dries me out. I'm SUPER oily. I find the face wash mixed with the setting spray helps me tons.

Completely agree with Dena M. What you need is to use different skincare for oily skin. You cant have good makeup without a good base! I personaly cant help you since i am dry, but perhaps look into moisturizers for oily skin

Ok if your foundation is oil free make sure your moisturizer is oils free. If your foundation has oil get a oil moisturizer! There's a video on this if you go to gossmakeupartist on YouTube!

I don't know Sarah. I always get confused too ugh. I wish everything was labeled- silicone based or water based.

Hey @Sarah I totally feel your pain. I have the same issue. Have you tried no primer? Since you are using higher end foundation it may not be necessary. Some make-up artists say that primers can be unreliable because it breaks down in a couple hours, including people like Scott Barnes. I have never found one that works and every time I go without when my foundation stays on much much longer. Especially something like mat velvet because the shine control properties have less to work through.

Try cetaphil oil control foam wash. It's the only cleanser that makes my face feel clean and not dried out.

Are you sure you're oily skin? I use to have this problem. When you're not completely oily, meaning you might be combination, your skin will start producing more oil to compensate for the areas that aren't as oily because it doesn't feel moisturized. Instead if focusing on mattifying, try focusing on balancing oil production for your primer and skincare. I can't say this will completely eliminate the oil but you will definitely see a difference.

Bare minerals oil control foundation primer! It's amazing! Have you tried it? Stop by sephora and get a sample (:

The De-Slick isn't the best. Try the All Nighter and/or a translucent matte setting powder. The Balm Sexy Mama is a good one. I also like the Bareminerals new compact foundation they also have matte foundation as well

i totally agree with ashley....could be so oily bc u r not moisturizing enuff at nite. after a week of healthy water based moisturizing at nite...the oils calm down bc u r not drying ur skin out-therefore causing oils to produce. MilkOfMagnesia (for constipation) applied w/moisturizer b4 foundation prevents any oil all day n its cheap at the drugstore! good luck
