Use a hot wash cloth or heating pad on your stomach, heating blankets also work. Take hot showers and baths, use ibuprofen or any other over the counter pain killer. Exercise also helps.

Hot baths, hot water bottles, tea and painkillers. Ibuprofen works well because it's an NSAID. NSAIDs actually help to stop the contractions that cause the cramps, they don't just mask the pain. I also find that cocodamol works really well. I know, it can suck! I've had cramps so bad that I've fainted before. And painkillers like plain old paracetamol don't touch me! Feel better soon!

I used to have unbearable cramps where I could never go to school when I had them because I would pass out from the pain quite often. I have a high pain tolerance as well! I used to take anti-inflammatory pain relievers to help (I had a lot of perceptions for different ones). I always keep a heating pad around or sit in a hot bath or just run hot shower water over my back or front (wherever the cramps are gravitating). I switched birth control almost 3 years ago to the Nuvaring and that helped my cramps a lot! But within the past month or two they've been coming back just as extreme as they used to be so I have to talk to my doctor about switching it up again or other solutions at my yearly that is coming up.

hun yoga meditation works it calms you down. heating pads while watching a movie or talking with a friend helps out alot you can do a diy heating pad if you dont have one. eat light because if you have any heavy foods in your system it will stress your cramps out. eat fruits. and drink tea and hot fluids. some people find massaging the cramping area helps. your cramps are caused by your uterus pulsing and contracting talk to your doctor for further help. mine are horrible its moaning laying on the floor not being able to move pain i can actually feel movements around the area thats how horrible mines are. some people even throw up when they have it. just remember we all have it. and hot baths work alot they really do. try not to get stressed out or have alot of people at home i find talking to much makes it worst haha. feel better. what we women go through right.

Hormonal birth control helped me. If none of the other suggestions from the lovely ladies in this thread helps, it might be a good option.

Start taking pain meds two days before you start. I stops the pain before you can feel it. And head pads on your stomach help too
