Great thread alma, ok so I'm a say this just so you ladies don't think you guys are missing out

LIME CRIME VELVETINES THERE NOT ALL THAT AT ALLLLLL!! I can assure you ladies and promise you ladies that the kat von d liquid lipsticks and stilla liquid lipsticks are way better then the velvetines so don't feel like your missing out, the staying power on the velvetines is not as good as the kvd or stila, no you don't need a lip scrub to take it off they start fading by its self I can honestly say there not worth the hype at all its all bull

Great post Alma! It would be great with some first hand impression of products :)

One product, or multiple shall I say, I will vouch for is the Wet n Wild lil products. They're so amazing for the cheap price. Incredibly pigmented and I think they feel good on the lips. I'm sure they'd be comparable to MAC (I wouldn't be able to provide feedback on that since I only have one MAC lip product). Especially their liquid lipsticks and matte lipsticks. YES PLEASE! I'm hoping they come out with more shades of that liquid lipstick.

Oh I lied, I have two Mac lip products, but the other is a lip liner so I guess that doesn't count

As a nail blogger I have tried almost every big US brand, and I can say for certain that Zoya is the best I have ever tried! I find Essie and opi a bit overrated , but Zoya is the same price if not cheaper, and 100% better in my opinion. Zoya polishes last forever without a top coat, and the range of Color is absolutely wonderful! Give Zoya a try, and I promise you won't be disappointed!!

I agree Alma, I hate to assume, but I am since of course I don't KNOW, but I feel some people will give a review and it's just based on what they have heard, or its so vague like yeah that eyeliner is good. I love this site though no matter what and I know it'll continue to get better! I know people just want to help but re posting something else isn't going to help, there's a reason we all come here and not to google, or at least the reason I do is because I trust the opinions on here and enjoy the honest feedback.

Thank you so much ladies for the feed back, wow Taylor that polish is pretty is that your nail work? . Thanks Renay, those wet n wild liquid lipsticks are wonderful. Sarah, I agree that's what got me thinking when I was reading comments on threads, I noticed everyone not all but they pretty much were explaining things with the exact wording or like you said vague with not much feed back. I don't want the community to feel limited when it comes to product's or feel they need to upped themselves to know everything because beauty is limitless we always learn something new everyday. Thank you Jackie, I wonder if the Anastasia one's compare as well, so many liquid lip product's I can't keep up lol. Sandra I need to grab that product Jackie has been telling me to grab it for awhile, thank you for sharing. Oh yes that no powder is great, I also like the RMS un powder I go back and forth between those two. Reny what shadows are you eyeing?

Thanks Jackie, you're the best at explaining a product. I just finished a mac order so bummed that the lipsticks and the blush from the julia petit collection was sold out but I bought the moving sand duo that I wanted and the cantaloupe blush yay! I noticed people on eBay are trying to sell the products from the collection with outrageous prices ugh.

@ alma there pretty similar they set matte but feel and look different on the skin the velvetines feel likke velvet but, there similar in the scence that they are long wearing and matte but the feel on the lips is different, its hard to explain but for me the let down was on the staying power I was going to give my man a kiss on the cheeks and he pulled away cuz of the burgandy lipstick (lime crimes wicked) and I told him don't trip its one of those that don't transfer ( he knows it was something like kvd liquid lipsticks) and he let me give him a kiss and what do you know he ended up having a burgundy rim on his cheek lol he tells me don't transfer my ass, and thats when I felt let down by the velvetines and as the day went by it faded passed on to my straw and by the time I finished eating it was completely gone my kvd have better staying power I'm not saying there a bad product but they just don't live to the hype as in to where sone girls say you need lip scrup to take them off which in my case was a lie, but like jackie said to each their own 😊

For me Revlon lipsticks are by far the best in the drugstore...WnW is a close very close 2nd. Revlon is amazing though while I haven't tried any high end lippies past Mac. I always go to my Revlon ones.

These are all fabulous reviews! Great idea Alma:) I noticed that the wet n wild lippies were mentiond. my question is specifically for the liquid lipstick, have any of you ladies had issues with how it looks on your lips? the color is so gorgeous but it is very frustrating when I try to apply because it becomes very clumpy as it dries onto my lips. It looks so horrid. I had bought two colors and both of them leave a very Un smooth appearance on my lips..I hope I'm making sense here lol

and sorry if this isn't appropriate for this thread..I just saw Renay mention how great they were and it got my brain a going.

It's fine Stephanie to ask away ;) I use a lip brush when applying.

Since we're discussing products I'm not sure this will fit here but seeing how ppl are responding I'll give it a try.

I have the nars Crystal Translucent Pressed Powder. I ran out and got it after seeing a few youtubers rave about it. I got it home and was like WTH! It's a pretty pricey product but I don't love it. Maybe I'm doing something wrong within application

@Amber...I have the same powder and its vital to apply with a light hand...if you white powder on your brush...you have way too much product and when it applied it will give you that dreaded ashy/flat look. The hardest thing is breaking thru the top layer to get to the nitty gritty of the product. I use the puff enclosed and rub away to get thru it (don't use the puff to apply the product because its a complete joke. I use either the Cargo Magic brush or a fan brush to apply. With the Magic Brush I swirl it around on the pan then lightly tap it on my t-zone and go in with my powder brush which isn't as dense as the Magic Brush to kinda move it around since it doesn't disturb my foundation. I also wipe down that brush as well if I'm going in for a second time because if any oils hit that pan its a goner. Its a serious learning curve with that powder. The loose version is a little user friendly but its also very messy.

My favorite foundation ever is Stila's stay all day foundation. I think it's extremely under rated and deserves more attention. this is a med to full coverage foundation that is amazing for oily skin. it keeps my oily skin at a satin finish all day long and doesn't break up. I never have to retouch with powder and it looks just as good at 8 pm as it did at 8 am. I've tried a ton of foundations and this one really takes the cake for me!

Sarah...sunset on the lids...I love it! What lippie shade did you select with this eye look?

Thanks alma for some odd reason I didn't even think about using a lip brush! haha.

Wow! This is great, I so happy to see you all share great stuff and advice. The stila foundation sounds interesting Kelly I'm going to check that out thanks. Sarah that's a very pretty palette your rocking a sherbet eye looks pretty, did you add a base before or is that the shadows straight from the pan? Shelley Thanks, I thought this would be helpful and pull in the community to share and talk about beauty. Jackie, hourglass shadows are awesome It's on my list. Amber Thank you for sharing and Shelley gave some great tips ;) Stephanie let me know how it works for you. I'm starting to think are we the only one's who can talk about what we have lol with all these members in the community hope to see more participate.
