I have big exams (AS level exams, which are a set of exams you do if you decide to go to Sixth Form, you do them when you're 17) coming up within the next week and they're very stressful. What probably doesn't help matters is that I go to school, volunteer one day a week after school and have a job where I work most days after school. This is having a negative impact on my skin (I can't think of any other cause as I've had no change in diet, facial products, weather etc) and causing me to break out. Does anyone have any suggestions for products or things I can do to pamper my skin a little?
I have teenage skin, so a oily t-zone and chin, drier cheeks, oily eyelids and a dry scalp but my hair gets oily easily.
I always take my makeup off before bed. The products I use currently are Liz Earle cleanse and polish cleanser, Neutrogena visibly clear pore and shine tangerine and lime daily scrub (I don't use it daily) and Liz Earle moisturiser. I don't think it's the products I've used as they've never broken me out, even in the 'purging' stage, and I've used them for years.
If anyone has any suggestions, that'd be great :) thank you!

If its stress that's causing the break outs then I don't think any products will help a lot, a mask is always great and might help a bit but it probably won't clear it up completely.
Only thing I can say is you have to learn to not stress... I'm in the final months of my masters, which is a very stressful time as it is the most important exams, but I make sure I don't stress! Get of work make sure you get your sleep... Drink lots of water...

Talei - Thank you! I'm going shopping after my first exam on Monday so I'll give it a go :)
Sabrina - I'm hoping it'll begin to go after my first two exams as they're the ones I'm most stressed about, Psychology stresses me out!
Thank you for the suggestions, I hope your exams go well and you get the degree level you want (and deserve!), good luck!

I'm sure it will clear up as soon as you get a bit more calm! But really the best advice, not only for your skin but also for doing well at the exams is to not stress! Do things like go running, take a warm bath, drink calming tea! If your body and brain is super stressed then it can't preform optimally :)
And thank you I hope your exam goes well also:)

Glad I've found someone in the same boat Alice! I have my Psychology exam on Monday too, I swear to god if I have to hear about ecological validity again after the 18th I'll cry. I'm going to have a look at the seaweed mask, I love The Body Shop. I had a free period on Friday and the 10 minute break I had was luxury haha :) me neither, my exams at 1.30 so it'll be panic all morning! Good luck for your exam!x

We're basically in the same boat as far as stress goes...I'm in grad school plus married with kids and I volunteer as well. My skin too has been acting a lil wonky and I summed it up to stress. There isn't really much that can be done when skin issues are stress related. If anything now would be the worst time to introduce your skin to anything new. Best course of action...sleep and staying well hydrated. Also making sure you are eating healthy as well. If you're eating garbage on the run going from one thing to another and not taking in a proper amount of fluids then your skin will rebel out of spite.

Thanks Shelley! I didn't realise how much stress takes it out on my skin. I've been drinking tons of water as I run a lot and been introducing healthier foods into my lifestyle in the last few months.
