So annoyed with Sephora
Do any of you beauties understand?...

Yes! Like if I'm using my money to buy it why does it matter what my sephora status is.

You have to be at a certain level of their rewards program to but that? That's really stupid, why disqualify people from buying something? That's not a way to make money or have proper customer service.

There's a bunch of things you can't buy! Esp if you go to new arrivals on their site grrr.

It is really dumb, it's suppose to make their elite clients feel special. Haha.

I'd complain to corporate or something. I'll spend my money elsewhere if you don't want my money, then. That's the stupidest thing I've ever seen.

When looked at the picture, I first thought, it was because they spelled "narcissist" wrong... then I read on and understood.

That is stupid wth lmao, way to disappoint everyone else wanting to buy.

I'm VIB and it doesn't make me feel special- I think it's rude to clientele! That's crap. Furthermore, my local Seohora NEVER has any of the rewards (100 pt, 250 pt, or 500pt) that their emails advertise. And I've been there a few times when they were just "out" of the 100pt reward or the 500pt reward. Like, hello? Go grab something off the shelf and replace it for your customers. I've got a good 900 points just sitting because they never have good rewards for it. So there's TWO complaints about Sephora!

They have 3 beauty insider levels the first is for anyone and called a bi, next is vib which you become after spending $350 in one year, the highest level is vib rouge which you get once you have spent $1000 in one year. They have started doing early releases for rouge members and then after however long they decide it will become available to everyone.

Kathryn I agree about the rewards being crappy, I have over 1000 and I haven't seen anything in a month or so that was worth getting.

I totally understand! The idea is that the VIB's and VIB Rouges spend the most money (at least 350 or 1000 dollars every year for renewal) and are the most loyal customers to the store, and that they deserve special treatment. It makes some mad, and it is upsetting. It's just the perk of their loyalty program.

And the reason they can't pull things off things off the shelf is because they get sent things from corporate with release dates and such, so to pull things off the shelf would be to be taking from their store inventory, not their perk inventory. It's hard for them to really keep up with the online advertisements, but they should always have alternative gifts or samples in the back

I felt exactly like that today when I tried to buy the new eye palettes from Hourglass. Like, wtf?!

I'm a Rouge and I find it insulting. A loyal customer is a loyal customer regardless of how much one spends in a 12 month period. And they need to do away with such foolishness. The only perk I love about being a Rouge is free shipping. Everything else is blah, blah.

I am glad I'm not alone.
Dumb and offensive marketing! There is other was to make "you're loyal customers " feel special with out making the rest of there customers feel some type of way 😡👎👎

I am a Rouge too
But for what the points perk suck I can never redeem them and I can't even buy what I want

I'm with all of you! I'm vib, that just means they sell Hourglass at Sephora! At their competitors store they have pulled products off the shelves and given it to me. If they ever start selling Hourglass...We are all beautiful, why does Sephora need to make it different!?!

I wish there were options other than Sephora or Ulta. I'm in a medium size city (Shreveport, La) and my local Sephora doesn't carry higher end brands, they never have any brushes, never have the points reward gifts, and Ulta is just Ulta. The only good thing is I have Mac, Dior, Chanel and Estée Lauder at the mall. I miss living in Baton Rouge!

I'm so tired of Sephoras crappy rewards and tiny bs samples. If I can get the same thing at Ulta I will automatically get it there. Last week I was deciding where to buy my hubby a bottle of Gucci envy and put it in my cart on both sites. At Sephora I was eligible for the usual 3 samples and all they had were perfume. I ultimately ordered from Ulta and got a 17pc (I think) bag full of samples plus the 3 you get to choose plus a robe!

Oh and it was $5 cheaper with coupon code.

So many other companies do this. Elite members get introduced to the new products and get to try them first. Theoretically, these members will very likely buy it, try it , and give great feedback. Look at sephoras online reviews, for instance, the most in depth and formal reviews are from BI members. This is nothing new and not a wastes effort. Also, it will be released to the public soon after

I just think if it is for some members only, then don't have it there for everyone to see.

Most of the things then get realeased to the public so why stress it, you will most likely be able to get it but later, why sweat it? Sweat it if your not going to be able to get it at all not cuz its coming out at a later date
