What are some basic essentials to have when your first starting out wearing makeup??

For me it was black eyeshadow, mascara and sometimes eyeliner and that's it. But I was 12 and had already been alternative/my own style for 2 years, so I went for something dark.
Anyways I would say a mascara, eyeliner and maybe foundation and a neutral eyeshadow. But that's just me, others can think completely different :b

Depends on the age of the person. I was pretty much new to makeup at age 33 so my needs were a lot different then when I was 13. Basic kit is: concealer, foundation, (or BB cream, CC Cream or tinted moisturizer) blush, lipstick, eyeshadow, eyeliner, mascara and some kind of brow product. These can be bold or natural depending on the person's style and how much makeup they really want to wear. You obviously don't need to wear all this stuff every day. But that is the basic kit. The great thing is that you can walk into a drugs store and walk out with all of this stuff plus some tools for putting it on and spend less than $100. My first basic makeup kit, plus tools was a bit higher end and ran me about $300.

When I first started off I used eyeliner in the worst way, talk about my panda days lol. But for starters I would definitely suggest moisturizer, a Bb cream or foundation depending on how much coverage you want, a bronzer and mascara. Maybe also a brow powder or an eyeshadow that matches your brow color. Just make sure you're doing this all correctly (especially with the bronzer and filling in brows because I know I struggled with that when I first started)

Its just basically what you feel you might like applying if you do t really need to apply much and go for a natural look then try to find natural makeup products but if you want to wear drastic makeup then you can buy whatever makes you feel comfortable and when you look at your self in the mirror you can say wow I love applying this stuff to my face! Its just an important tip In my own opinion :))! Hope it helps beauty 😄

If your just starting out, stick to mascara, eyeliner, BB cream, lip gloss. And if you would like, an eyeshadow color that suits you and you love(most important you love it:) I would suggest moisturizer and such but you asked for makeup:) hope this helps!

Bb cream or a light foundation (I'd get matched at a counter or try drugstore foundations because of trial and error)
A nice highlighting blush to add some dimension, brown liner, and some mascara.

A good moisturizer is first. Protects your skin, helps your makeup last longer, and creates a better canvas to apply makeup. I've never took the time to use primer. Next is foundation. You can use powder or liquid. I used powder when I first started wearing makeup because I feel that with liquid foundation it's easy to go overboard. I have pretty nice skin and don't need much coverage, so I use a BB cream that I make myself out of foundation, sunscreen, moisturizer, and concealer. I would go to sephora or mac and get professional recommendation if you don't know your skin type. After that I would go for mascara and blush. That should get you started out pretty well and as you get more experienced and if you get more interested in makeup you can buy more and build up your routine. I always wash my face first, moisturize, and then put makeup on. Also make sure to clean your makeup off every night before bed. All of that makeup builds up and will age your skin and clog your pores and create bad nasty zits. Makeup removing wipes are super awesome. I don't like the oil-based makeup removers because they make my skin feel oily and dirty but that's just my opinion.

To start off with defenity mascara and eye liner, those 2 things alone make a huge difference, you could expand from there to foundation, concealer, lipstick and blush.

Well, if you don't have any makeup I would start of with skin products that work well with your skin type. If you have dry skin, get a foundation or something that is moisturizing. If you have dark circles get a brightening concealer and/or eye creams. If you want a matte finish maybe get a pressed powder or something of the sort. You may want to start p ut with a small palette that gives you options; neutrals and a variety of color. I suggest maybe purchasing a morphe eye palette whether pre made or customized. This will allow you to have colors to play around with and find out what you like best. I would also purchase some good quality brushes like bdellium or Morphe, for a cheaper option. Buy what you are willing to try.
Another quick suggestion is to maybe watch some online videos, not necessarily YouTube though, lots of misinformation spread there. Try going to Robert Jones' website, he has a free 7 day mini course you can take. Very helpful, I am taking it right now and learning all sorts of things ranging from stripe testing to midtones and contour placements, etc... Thanks Jackie H for that btw!!:)
