I've had acrylics for about a year and a half now.. And 2 days I got them removed in hopes of eventually strengthening and growing out my nails. They look decent so far, they have a nice coat of gelous base and seche vite though! they are pretty thinned out though obviously. Was just wondering if anyone had any tips on strengthening and hardening my nails over time?? thank you!!

Just take care of them and some people use a strengthening nail polish.

Idk how to answer your question since I don't know a lot about nails, but I wanted to say I love that design! So simple and elegant.

Use oils and try to not apply nailpolish without a minimum of one layer of basecoat. Also, use a nailpolishremover without acetone, as it dries the skin around your nails and possibly also the nail out :)

Goes without saying, but also make sure you avoid behaviors and activities that will weaken the nail: biting, picking, over filing, using your nails to pry, submerging your hands in water frequently... Use gloves when washing dishes or scrubbing things (just like the old housewives). Use something else to pry things open (a thin letter opener or a case knife can open a pop-top can without hurting your nails, for example). Remember to let your nails breathe once in a while. Go without polish or products for a week or so each month and allow the nail plate to oxygenate.

If you don't already, make sure you're eating a balanced diet with plenty of fruits and veggies, especially leafy greens like spinach, kale, etc. Never take supplements (biotin, "Hair, Skin, and Nails" vitamins, etc.) without speaking to your physician. Stay adequately hydrated. Healthy body = healthy nails.

Now that you can actually see your natural nails, be on the lookout for any changes in your nails like thinning (after they've gone back to normal), abnormal thickening, yellowing or discoloration, any kinds of spots, pits, ridges, divots, or splitting. These can be signs of a health problem and needs medical attention.
