I recently got sunburned on my shoulders and don't know how to get rid of it. I know you can use aloe Vera gel but I am allergic to aloe. So do you know any other methods to get rid of it fast?

Keep it moisturized, and when it starts to peel you can use a gentle exfoliating body wash to get rid of the dead skin faster(and get rid of the annoying peeling skin!). For moisturizing, I sometimes use a little baby oil, coconut oil, or sunburn lotion. :) I believe there are a few aloe free lotions I believe for sunburns :) I hope you get better soon!

BUT, make sure to do a small test with the baby/coconut oil on the affected skin. If it burns, do not use. These oils only work for some. I hope they work for you, but be careful Love!

Use a sunburn lotion without aloe vera. If it hurts, I would also suggest putting an ice pack on it and taking cold showers. As tessandra said, moisturize a lot, and when you exfoliate do be sure to be gentle. But do NOT peel off the already peeling skin. The skin underneath is very sensitive and prone to infection and the sun again.

I've used Noxema my whole life for it. Soothes and cools the skin while keeping it hydrated.

(If you are not sensitive to menthol)

Run the burn under cold or ice water first for about 10 mins to take the heat out. This needs to be done otherwise any product you put on can react with the heat, causing the product to work with the burn and burn further layers of skin.
Then, you can use a product like Rozberry suggested (I recommend Noxema too!) or milk will help it too.

Medical grade gauze soaked in milk and plain yogurt will help with the healing. Overall you will just need to allow the skin to work at its own pace when it comes to the healing part (especially in the peeling stage). If you force peeling manually with granular products you run the risk of damaging the new skin underneath (which comes with its own set of sensitivities). As far a moisturizing the affected area...Aveeno has a line of body lotions containing oatmeal so this will help with soothe the skin. And its fragrance free.
