Hey guys!
I have combination skin. My skin is normal on my cheeks but is oily mostly on my forehead, nose and sometimes my chin. For some reason most oil free products dry me out and make me sore? I have recently been using bare minerals deep foam cleanser which I initially thought was amazing...now..meh. It is amazing at getting what you have missed with the wet wipe off but my nose is a MESS. It is so dry and is a little bit sore.
I purchased, Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel and I like the idea of it ( I brought this years ago but stopped using it) but I currently feel that it isn't moisturising my skin enough but I am going to give it a chance as it could be the cleanser's fault for making me dry.
Does anyone else struggle with this? Does anyone recommend any products that keep oil at bay but also moisturise the skin?

I have kind of the skin that you have. Here's my nightly routine. First I use the boots 7° cleansing balm. Then I use the formula 10.0.6 toner. After that I use the Mario bedescu hydrating facial mist with rose water herbs and water(these 3 products found at ulta.com. And finally I use the origins gin zing face moisturizer along with the Clinique all about eyes eye cream.

For me, oil-free stuff just made me more oily.
I would I usually wash my face once a day, at night.
My skin isn't as oily and I don't break out nearly as much.
If also recommend the cetaphil moisturizing cream. I find it works good for all skin types and I don't get as oily with it and my dry areas are hydrated.
As for a cleanser I just switch around but use ones without sulfates.

I have exactly the same problem as you!
I use the products listed below and they are FAB, I've been using them for years and I can't rave enough about them, both myself and my mum use them :)
Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish - Leaves my skin feeling very clean and evens everything out. Lasts forever as you only need a tiny bit and is so worth the price. I buy mine on www.qvcuk.com, you can buy it on easypay too which is where they split the cost and you pay a little each month and you get a 30 day money back guarantee, even if you use the product.
Liz Earle moisturiser for combination skin - I am slightly obsessed with Liz Earle. I love this moisturiser, it balances everything out and doesn't leave my skin feeling oily or dry or horrible. Works so well with the Cleanse and Polish. Again, can be brought on www.qvcuk.com

@aurora S what do you do in the morning? Just use water?
Jul 14, 2015
Aurora S.
In the morning, yes. Just do a simple rinse and I don't have any issue.
Sometime I don't even rinse it.
Some days I'm just like.. "Why am I washing my face in the morning when it feels fine and it's not like I was sweating or wearing makeup while I slept"
So I just put on moisturizer if I feel as though I need it and do my makeup
