I'm going to colour my hair with box hairdye I'm going a darkish red but I want to keep my hair as healthy as possible would it mess with the hair colour if I put just a bit of argan oil on the end's of my hair?

I'm not sure---but just so you know what you're getting into---red box dye is very hard to cover up. I used to do it and I tried to go brown and burgundy and the red would always rear its ugly head.

There is a dye that uses oils called olia by garnier - I heard its good but the color change is not super drastic so adding an oil may not allow the color to work properly - you may need to keep it on longer or do multiple attempts - I think it would be best to just do the dye normally and then use the argan oil after you shampoo out the dye and make sure to use the conditioner they provide - all of it if you can in one go - that should help and then argan oil after the wash I think would be best
