For the body wash try looking for something that's fragrance free or that has fragrance towards the bottom of the list of ingredients (:

I love 100 % Pure Vanilla Body Wash, but it is expensive and uses natural vanilla for scent. You have psoriasis and insanely sensitive skin and havr no issue with vanilla. Everyone differs. http://www.100percentpure.com/collections/gels-and-washes/products/honey-cream-wash-vanilla-bean#product-info-detail
I often use Cetaphil Hydrating Wash in the shower which is fragrance free and leaves skin soft. It is also not expensive. These sort of cleansers, including 100% Pure don't lather up the same as traditional body wash as they don't contain the same chemicals.
Aveeno Skin Relief wash is fabulous and fragrance free also. Very hydrating and inexpensive.

I would recommend Lush or natural perfumes. I had issues with artificial perfumes irritating my skin (especially body wash) and natural perfumes helped a lot. It doesn't have to be from Lush but you can find stuff at Whole Foods or any natural foods store.

Dove has a men's line of body washes that have "clean" smells as opposed to those spicy cologne smells. I don't like those heavy smells on my husband either. I don't know about men's colognes, since my husband doesn't wear them.

Can your hubby use the same body wash that you use? You could also try Dr. Bronner's, Kiss My Face, or Avalon Organics. For cologne, I wonder if you could tolerate essential oils such as lavender, sandalwood or something citrusy? These might be worse than synthetics for you so make sure to test it before purchasing!
