Need a new hat straightener!

So my chi hair straightener died on me today. I'm looking for a decent straightener. Something under $100. Any recommendations? I have thick damaged hair. Haha.

Personally, I adore my Croc. It's not cheaper than $100 but it's fantastic and because it has titanium plates rather than ceramic, it leaves your hair shinier and less greasy than a Chi iron (I used Chi for almost 10 years and in retrospect they're terrible irons!). I also have thick hair, and the heat controls on the Croc irons allow me to get them hot enough to straighten my hair but cool enough not to damage it.

I've had two Cricket brand straighteners, and they lasted a long time and were awesome. They were around $70 each. I'd have bought another one, but decided to buy a top of the line one. They're great.
