Nails Inc. is sold at Sephora and I've tried their nail polishes before and never had a problem!
I don't know about the ingredients though maybe someone with more info will answer, but to me it seems fine! Nails Inc. is a good brand from what I have heard :)

What is she concerned about in the ingredients? That it will make your nails weaker? Just wondering Bc I have used this brand for I think 3-4 years now (btw this is an awesome product) but if there are specific concerns about what it might do to your nail bc of an ingredient, I would love to help 😊 I'm just not sure, bc all ingredients in nail polish aren't good for your nails, that's why when you take nail polish off your nails look a little discolored. My one tip about this product is make sure it is really dry before you put your color polish or else there is a chance it might get kinda gooey and smeared. I also really recommend their top coat that dries in 45 seconds :)

Those ingredients are common to THOUSANDS of consumer products. Ethyl acetate is a solvent and is used as a hardener, it is low toxicity. It is naturally present is many fruits, and is used to decaffeinate teas and coffee beans, in addition to making things like nail polish, glues, and cleaners for electronic circuits, etc.

Butyl acetate is also naturally found in fruit, and is used as a solvent. It is also used as an artificial flavor for candy, pastries, etc.

Nitrocellulose lacquer is exactly what it sounds like, and is the main reason you keep those bottles away from fire. Nitrocellulose, or gun cotton, is explosive.

All of these ingredients are perfectly safe to use on your nails. Your friend might be a "know it all", but she is woefully misinformed. Chemistry is nothing to be scared of; in fact, you'll find many of these "oil field" compounds in the foods you eat every day (even "organic" produce).
