Hey guys,
So I'm after a skin care routine as I don't think that mine is sufficient enough.
So far, in the morning I wash my face with micellar water and then moisturise my face. At night, I wipe my makeup off with a makeup wipe and then micellar water to take away any makeup that I might've missed from my makeup wipes.
I occasionally exfoliate but tend not to because I have quite sensitive skin.
The skin care products that I use are L'oreal's skin perfection range and I'd prefer to stick to this.
What I'm asking is, what's the best skin care routine as I'm struggling because the media and peoples reviews of products are all different.
For example, I want to use a toner to tone my skin but media says that I don't need to because I use micellar water.
Help, please!

I've heard/seen people use micellar water as a makeup remover or as a pre-cleanse but I don't know about using it as an actual cleanser. Then again I really don't know much about micellar water or what all it claims to do. I would look into an actual cleanser and a toner.

If you are not breaking out than it should be fine. What kind of skin problems are you looking to tackle? You shouldn't just use something that you don't need. However, there is one thing that everyone needs and that is sunscreen every morning.

@jasmine C. I'm looking to smoothe my skin tone, especially because sometimes my skin has a tendency to become red in some areas so I wanted to diminish that and wondered if a toner would do the trick?

The problem with most toners is the alcohol that can be very drying and irritating for some. What you say your skin type is? Normal, Oily, Dry, Combo, or just Sensitive? As for the redness you should try Eucerins face wash, they make specifically for redness (they also have a moisturizer).

@lisa my skin can be quite dry and is definitely sensitive
I'm not really looking for different brands, I want to stay with the skin care range that I currently use but just wanting to know what everybody else's skin care routine is

Hi Katie! If your looking for a routine I'm happy to share mine :). So I start of with makeup wipes and then move on to micellar water to remove excess eye and face makeup. Then I cleanse my face, or I exfoliate- wish I do 2-4 times a week. Then I pate my face dry and apply toner, and then after that I'll do a 10 minute face mask (only at nights). They do face masks every day in Asia, it it really helped improve my skin. (I switch between sheet masks and mud/clay masks. Then I rinse off the mask and apply a Vitamin C serum to brighten my complexion. After that I moisturise and apply my prescriptions for acne. That's really my skincare routine- I know there's a lot, but it keeps my skin clear and I only get a big pimple maybe every 3-5 months.

Wow, @natalie thank you so much for sharing your skin care routine with me! I'm just trying to get a general idea of what everybody's routine is to start my own
I'm very clueless when it comes to skin care routine, hence my basic, simple routine

I have super dry sensitive skin and I really love CeraVe products.
Here is my routine (pm):
1) Remove all makeup with Neutrogena wipes.
2) I have a Clarisonic (amazing best thing I ever did for my skin! I've been using it for 3 years now and it has transformed my skin) anyways I use it with Fresh Cleanser (love this stuff its really gentle and I just bought it a month ago but I really like it, very gentle.
3) Moisturize with CeraVe Moisturizing Cream (CeraVe is amazing for dry skin!).
My morning routine:
1) Wash with CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser
2) Moisturize woth CeraVe Moisturizing Cream and thats it! Then I apply my makeup!

Why do you want to use a toner? What are your concerns? Repost are not allowed unless you've deleted the thread and even then you've had people respond to your previous thread (this one). I'm not trying to be rude but mod's will tell you the exact same thing. You might check out my thread I created last night about some issues like this. The title says SERIOUSLY... It goes along with some issues on Beautylish...
Here is something I found about miceller water, I don't think you need a toner personally, but why do you feel like you need one? I posted a link about miceller water that I found on google.

@lisa the other post wasn't a repost because this thread is about wanting to know what everybody's routines are to get a better understanding of skin care and the other was asking what the difference of micellar water and a toner was.
All I was asking for was help.

I know, but it had similar questions that were already in this thread? I apologize for coming across rude but I was just letting you know that the moderators were probably going to tell you the same thing. Thats why I came back to this thread to continue to help answer your questions. The link I posted previously was giving information about miceller water... So I was still trying to help you, sorry...

Also I to have dry sensitive skin and I don't think a toner is need. I've tried a gazillion toners and all they did was make my skin drier, I never got any other results. Thats why I was asking why you feel like you need one? Acne or discoloration?

Needed* sorry for all the spelling errors.

@lisa I think primarily it's probably discolouration, just that my skin looks.. Not toned if that makes sense? There are a few reddish patches on my skin but a skin expert said this could be due to hormones
But just wondered if there was anything to help this..
I personally don't think that it's hormones, more the fact that it's my skin and wondered if there was anything to resolve this
