Can I use my night moisturizer in the day?

So I ran out of my daily moisturizer and all I have is my night one can I use it as a substitute till I get a new one?

I'm sure you could, but maybe google the differences just incase. daily moisturizer will most likely have an SPF in it that your night one won't have, but other than that I'm not sure of the differences :s.

My night and day moisturizers are different in the sense that my night moisturizer is more of a gel (rather than the cream of my day moisturizer) so it really needs that time of when I'm sleeping to really sink into the skin. I think all night moisturizer need that extra time to sink in. You can use it as a substitute but I wouldn't do it for very long.

Some night creams may contain ingredients tht are ment for night or could more damage than good during the day. But if its just a simple night cream and you just need a bit of moisturizing then I think it'll be ok

It should be find.

1. Night creams tend to be heavier and might be greasy. Our skin gets dehydrated as we sleep so the night creams are meant to be thicker as an attempt to stay on longer due to moving around in sleep as such.
Night creams are generally thicker and more of a cream compared to day time products which are more of a lotion.

2. Check the ingredients. Some ingredients aren't meant to be in contact with direct sunlight and may cause damage to the skin like Vitamin C, Retinal and a few other ingredients
