I haven't had a wax burn but I do know how to handle a first or second degree burn from a hot substance - you should run the area under lukewarm water (if you put ice on it that could make it worse) and then use a moisturizer with aloe (basically treat it like a sunburn)

I know jojoba oil is good for sunburn but don't know if it will help with wax burn. I burnt my hand on the oven a few months ago and I have been applying jojoba oil every night and the burn is slowly disappearing. If you do try it let me know if it works. I bought it off Amazon, UK.

Depending how long ago you had it, I wouldn't bath. You are discouraged by an Esthetician (at least mine) from exercising or bathing for 24 hours after a wax. That's the advice I was given, but in any event, with a burn I would apply aloe gel. This also depends on the degree of burn as Diana was discussing. I have had some burning and redness in the past on rare occasion, but nothing to where it would need medical attention.
I'd keep the undies off or at least 100% cotton and wear loose clothing. Then, in a day, rinse with cool water and apply Neosporin with pain relief, alternated with aloe vera gel. So sorry.

I agree with rozberry. But get burn treatment neosporin if possible. It's a little bit of a different formula and really soothes the burn better than regular neosporin.
Also, if you can, be naked or at least underwear free with loose shorts on. I know when I first started shaving and stuff (which really everybody has some horror stories about) but I gave myself quite the cut and underwear against it hurt so bad, I wore loose cotton basketball shorts only and if I had to go out I wore loose boxer type boy short underwear. It hurt like hell though. So I can't imagine how much a burn would hurt.

Vaseline can help

Noooo..vaseline. It is a sealant that can cause infection on wounded skin. The skipping undies, loose clothing, Neosporin and aloe...Rinsing after 24 hours with cool water is a better route, but if it worsens or is burned in any fashion that is beyond a light irritant, see your doc. Hopefully you will be fine. Don't swim or exercise at the moment and hopefully you'll find relief.
