Beauty Product Reviews

ok it's amazing

Literally melts into the skin. Sadly worth every penny. As a woman in my mid 30s I can't play with stark heavy concealers anymore. I hate how much I love this.

wow.

If all of the hype for LA MER products are just marketing and a "placebo" affect due to the fancy high price tag - welp, I care not, bc I feel like a million bucks after putting this oil on. I follow up with the moisturizer in the morning and My skin looks FABULOUS. I dont even think I need to use foundation. I purchased the .5 ounce and I think I could easily stretch it to get about 5/6 mos of use.

BEST BEST BEST

Best foundation I've ever used. It melts so seamlessly into your skin that its basically sorcery and witchcraft. It hurts having to buy a foundation that is so damn expensive, but boy is it worth it!

Thank God for flex pay and sales.

Aside from the outrageous price, My only two tiny gripes:

1) No matter how careful I am about rolling the foundation down, somehow it always gets a smudge of foundation on the inner top of the lid. (Stupid nitpicky gripe, but I digress)

2) In my experience, the shade range in this particular line seems to run VERY VERY LIGHT. Im usually somewhere on the lightest spectrum in other brands. Unfortunately, due to the covid restrictions requesting samples has been impossible.

The quest to find the correct number that I need using online guessing games and research has been a real royal PIA.

Lots of purchasing and exchanging thru the mail. Theres a ton of options and range here, which is kind of a double-edged sword when you're trying them on blind online.

I have to buy two-so double ouch! 1 for summer/tanning and one for lighter winter mos.

I've tried .5, 2.0 and even 3.5 and they make me look like a ghost which is crazy, bc again I'm normally pretty pale.

So lest yee be warned! opt to go for the darker option, if you're on the fence between which shades to pick. Its pretty forgiving.

I can get away with using 3.5 during summer with a lot of bronzer

Now with that being said, the natural finish, the texture and coverage is so perfect, it is testament to my determination in finding the perfect winter and summer shades in this foundation damnit!

The twisty top packaging is portable, and decent in quality and durability.

gorgeous

Absolutely gorgeous color caviar is. Its the perfect smokey blue/steel grey with subtle shimmer. Im a pale skinned blue eyed girl. I never would have tried this color, if I didn't get a sample from Nordstrom way back when. When you first put it on your brush- DONT PANIC, it looks really dark at first. Just keep blending and it sheers out perfectly. In fact I take it almost all the way to the brow bone for a day appropriate editorial look.

Don't miss out on this shade, it is so worth it. I've been neglecting my palettes lately for this shade. You can easily layer it too.

best concealer I've ever tried

this is the best concealer I've ever tried. This blows Shape tape out of the water. It has all of the coverage but non of "the cake" Similarly, you only need a teeny teeny bit.

Unfortunately, Im on the lighter side, but I opted for creme which is very VERY light so if you normally are a two or three in Charlotte Tilbury concealer, opt to go a bit darker than you normally would choose...unless you want that stark contrast under your eyes like you've been in a tanning bed or something lol

3.75

Its a very nice brush. Husband purchased it for me after I had been stalking the beautylish site like a mad woman for its restock, as I didn't feel like I need o buy the whole set anymore.

Pros: fluffy, VERY VERY nice, luxe, soft the whole works.

Cons: Sheds occasionally, not structured enough for me. I prefer a wee bit of stiffness and "grit" when I'm working with face/eye brushes,

esp when it comes to stubborn blushes, hard panned bronzers, and face palletes that are more difficult to show up with the wrong brush. AKA my Charlotte glowgasm face palette.

This is a perfect brush for finishing powder, but im a dry skinned gal, so I don't have a lot of use for that.

I guess it would be best used as a "finishing brush" to kinda blend and blur finishing powders like hourglass, or tone down a harsh bronzing job.

Since half the time I can't be bothered, and because I already have her face one, I use that instead when the mood strikes me to apply finishing powders and my face isn't dry as a desert. So alas, it doesn't get a lot of use for me atm bc its just too soft, but I guess that's more of a me problem vs the brush.

My top #1 face brush for bronzing is her massive fluffy bronzing fan brush from her first OG collection, the sculpt one.

I love it so damn much I might get a backup when it comes back into stock.

I cannot live without this brush

I have a garillion eye brushes-From Sonia G Hakuhodo etc. This brush is perfect. So much so in fact, that i will likely pick up two or three more. Yes, it hurts a little bit if you're tight for cash, but this brush is a must. *MUST* Holy hell no other brush compares to this glorious brush. NONE

another great charlotte Tilbury product

I personally agonized over buying this Palette since last year when it released. Hard for me to justify as I already have an hourglass holiday palette to work through.

...But its sooooo pretty tho especially the packaging, so of course I caved lol. The price stings but understandable as its more costly for independent brands to manufacture and produce shade varieties.

I'm pretty fair so I've had no problem getting products to show up, but I also have Wayne Goss/Sonia G brushes as well.

I've noticed with the highlighter that a little bit goes a long way ...and it's easy to overdo it as the bronzer requires some building up and then you go straight to highlighter like...POW lol. Overall I'm very happy with it, great for travel. You can easily use the shades for eyeshadow and even shiny lips over gloss in a pinch.

Added picture

Added a picture to compare density with my next largest brush, the Sculpt one from Sonia G

I like it

This is my first purchase from this brand. I'm normally accustomed to Sonia G Wayne Goss brushes and I agonized over picking this one or the larger BP brush (which I will get as I heard it's a Tom Ford bronzer Dupe)

I was looking for a brush that is really dense that I could just lay down foundation on my face..... kinda like a paint brush and then be able to buff it in...as I havent had the greatest luck with other foundation brush styles.

This cute little guy is extremely firm and dense but it doesnt soak up all of the product either.

Somehow it manages to fluff up even bigger after you wash it too. You could definitely use it as a travel sized large bronzing brush all over powder application etc etc

Little bit of shedding like a hair or two but that's because I was eager to use it and didnt feel like washing it to get rid of floating hairs. Used this with the new Charlotte Tilbury foundation and the look was flawless. ZERO STREAKS

Sensitive skin use with a lighter hand. The hairs aren't the softest in the world, but they're not supposed to be for this particular kind of brush. Overall, I'm so so stoked that I gambled on this little cutie since I couldn't find any review videos online. Its hands down the most dense brush that I own now, and since it's so small it's the perfect utilitarian brush that you can pop in your bag while traveling or on vacation and you can use it for quite a few different types of product applications.

The cherry on top is that it comes with a little stand to place the brush in, so I can place it right next to my mirror on my vanity.
