Subpar version of backlight primer

I was excited to see VDL come to Beautylish. I've heard that their original Lumilayer Primer is one of the most popular in Korea. I thought picking up their Fresh version would give my skin a little bit of a glow. And... it does. I'm just not a huge fan on the fragrance and denatured alcohol that this contains. especially for a primer that I wear under sunscreen, I just prefer to expose my skin to more antioxidants and less fragrance during the daytime when my skin needs help to fight off free radicals and environmental stressors. Love customizable vitamin c

I really like that The Ordinary has so many different Vitamin C Products to choose from. Some are winners and some not so much... many have a gritty and/or sticky texture. The Ordinary's 100% L-Ascorbic Acid Powder mixes in easily with many different serums I've tried. I started out very slow despite the fact that I have been using a Vitamin C Serum regularly. A little goes a long way so please be careful. Too much Vitamin C can cause a slight burning or tingling sensation, but if it does not go away right away I would rinse it off and use a lesser amount the next day. I love that this serum now can take the place of what would normally be another skincare layer. This mixes well and in fact, I couldn't even tell that this was in my serum so it has a pretty decent texture for mixing. Also love that it is fragracne free! Nice new formula

I’ve used both versions of this cleanser and I must say that the new version is definitely an upgrade. I love that this newer formula has no noticeable fragrance and is much less drying on my sensitive skin than the original version. This cleanser shines most in a double cleanse routine. It removes most makeup but sometimes leaves some waterproof makeup behind, that is why I prefer to use this in a double cleanse. Nice and reliable

The Coola Daydream Mineral SPF 30 Makeup Primer Sunscreen applies like a dream over hydrated skin and does a great job leaving a nice matte canvas for foundation and makeup. This primer does have a slight white cast but once foundation is applied over it this is camouflaged quite well. I love a good two in one product, and this makes using sunscreen just as easy as applying your normal makeup primer and leaves no good excuse for not using sunscreen. This definitely extends the wear time of foundation by at least two or three hours. My other thoughts using this is that it reminds me a lot of the Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer. The texture and application of it is quite similar. The Coola Daydream Primer isn't cheap, but it is more affordable than the full size Hourglass Veil Primer. Plus, the Coola Daydream Primer is an SPF of 30 while the Hourglass Veil Primer is an SPF of 15. This is a reliable sunscreen that works great as a primer. Nice and Affordable Serum

The Ordinary's Niacinamide and Zinc Serum is an affordable gel-like liquid that contains a proven blemish fighter in the ingredient niacinamide and an unproven zinc. The research is definitely limited in terms of zinc's benefits to skin and blemish fighting powers. I love that this is fragrance free and affordable. I've been using this morning and night but for anyone that hasn't used niacinamide before definitely start out slow because it can cause a little bit of a sting until your skin gets used to it. I did notice a bit of a purging period after I began using it but after that I think this really helped my skin prevent breakouts. This does dry pretty tacky so you might want to follow with another serum or moisturizer. My more detailed review can be seen on my youtube page called noBSbeauty

Nice and Versitile Glow Option

This is a great option for those looking for a liquid highlighter. I actually like the fact that it is more of a gel than a liquid because it is far less messy than some of the liquid-y highlighters (with a dropper dispenser) that can get drops of shimmer everywhere. This blends very easily. I love that the formula is fragrance free and also has many uses. This can get slightly cakey if applied over too much setting powder so be a little careful there. I also appreciate the reasonable price for this product- it is lower than many other liquid highlighters on the market. Application with your fingers seems to be the best way to go, unless you are mixing it with your primer or foundation.
