Beauty Product Reviews

Beautiful.

I have an old discontinued color of this called cafe au laut and it is amazing. It's a nice copper brown color that's sheer and shimmery and absolutely wonderful by itself or with greens and blues to make it a sort of copper patina look or even with brighter colors to tone them down. Love this.

An essential:

This really cuts down on my manicure time since it dries incredibly fast and protects my nails from staining under colorful polishes that would normally leave them looking ragged and ugly whenever I want to leave my nails bare. It doesn't protect from the worst staining polishes but it definitely does a lot of good for ones that leave mild stains.

Staining

The last few times I used this one, I had a big problem with it staining. Not my nails, but any tiny bit of skin I got it on while working on my nails and it stayed stained for days. I bought this thinking it would be a nice plain black (though if you look closely it has tiny silver glitter in it) and ended up with a disaster. Go for it if you're more careful than I am, but beware.

Thick but so pretty...

The formula is a bit thick and goopy but I can honestly say I don't mind for this one. I've been looking everywhere for a nice pale yellow for a low price and I couldn't find anything until I stumbled upon this one. Then again, if you can find nail polish thinner, any thick formulas really aren't a problem. I'll just have to go look for some.

Water Street Blue

Beautiful color, smooth application, fast drying, but it definitely stains your nails very very badly. Not sure if I'll use mine again or not. Maybe I should look for a similar color in another brand instead.

Crackles well but dries out...

I've had a black for several months that I've used a few times and no, it hasn't dried out in the bottle yet, but every time I've used it, I have to close it in the middle of doing my nails and shake it up to keep the polish around the top of the bottle and on the upper part of the brush to keep from getting too thick and blocking up the bottle. I also have a coral glitter one that is very translucent and which magnifies that problem further.

Jumpin' Jade

I don't know about other colors in this collection, but the one I have is super thick and goopy, the brush doesn't work well with painting my nails, it stains terribly, and it dries TOO fast. I think I'll just stay away from fast-dry polishes for a while.

Cool Copper

On it's own this is a beautiful smooth color, but I really think pairing it with a shimmery brown/bronze type color makes it look fantastic, almost like a copper patina. Definitely a good color for most seasons.

Wonderful

It's a great bright color and has a nice formula, but it gets a bit thick when you've had a bottle of it sitting around for a while. When it's new, though, it goes on smoothly and gives pretty full coverage, and definitely draws attention as a manicure.

Rainbow in the S-Kylie and Have a Heart

The first, Rainbow in the S-Kylie, is a wonderful polish, easy to get on and, with a bit of work, easy to get off, looking beautiful with all the multicolored glitter and even thick enough that with more than one coat it should cover your nails completely. The second, Have a Heart, is a bit harder to work with, but the red-pink heart-shaped glitter is worth it in my opinion. It needs more coats to get many hearts on and lots of tricks are needed to make it easier, but it's an absolutely gorgeous overcoat for pretty much any color.
