Beauty Product Reviews

Like second skin...

I really love how this product stays put! I used to have to blot and a lot of my foundation came off, but with this foundation... it stays put! I don't have to worry about losing my coverage because of transferring.

I also received a compliment using this foundation, something I never got while trying others. (I have used my fair share of department and drug store brands).

I want to add, I got this product this past weekend, knowing my application would be a damp sponge. A good old fashion Triangle Sponge (you don't need a beauty blender) does the trick. I knew it dries quickly, so with this application, not only did I have time to play with it, it didn't look cakey or streaky.

This is definately my everyday foundation!!

I AM IN LOVE!!!

I was buying a lot of drug store neutrals, but over the weekend I finally got a hold of this masterpiece, and I must say "WOW"!!

It's so quick and easy to do a day time brown smokey eye! In less than 5 minutes or so! Versus me having to pack and pack and pack on the color with my drug store dupes.

The creators of Urban Decay are geniuses!!

3 stars = average. You do pay for what you get, and just like other users, it did pinch my eyelids. It's weird because it didn't pinch them at first, then it kept pinching them. I thought there was something wrong with my eyes, until I realized what it was. Now I have to be extra careful to make sure it doesn't pinch my eyelids. I haven't really tried any other curler, so I can't really compare it to others.

I bought this because I was looking for a drug store brand powder to set my foundation.

The price is very reasonable. And when I set my foundation on in the morning, it looked really matte and flawless. But that look doesn't last long. I notice by lunch time, my face is oily. When I try to apply during that time or through out the day, I noticed it started to look very cakey on my skin.

Also, in the morning I would use a stipple brush to apply. During the day, I would apply with those wedges that you can get at any drug stores. That being said, this powder doesn't even come with a puff, wedge, NOTHING. And like another user said, the cover is very flimsy. I've read other reviews where they would just toss in their make up bag, but the cover would just come out.

Comparable to Maybelline Dream Matte Powder.

I saw a YT video about a girl switching out her regular products to anti-aging products. So instead of using her normal Maybelline Dream Matte Powder, she switched to Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Protector Finishing Powder.

Even though I'm still in my late 20s, I thought it cannot be too early to start using anti-aging products too. I really loved the Dream Matte Powder, so I decided why not make the change too. It's pretty much the same thing, which is AWESOME.

I haven't given it a full 4-stars yet, because I just starting using it. I'm sure I'll edit this review after a month or so...

HG mascara

I guess my eyelids are allergic to most mascaras out there, whether it is a department store or drug store brand. It sucks when I'm working and I have a mascara on that I'm allergic too, and all I want to do is rub my eyelids, or scratch them. I can't because my makeup will get all nasty. So the second I get home, I'm washing my face... and not only that, my eyelids are a little bit swollen. Eek...

But this mascara is my HG. Prior to this product, I've never really cared for mascara, but now I know why mascara is probably a product that most people wear daily.

The wand's shape makes it so much easier to get those smaller lashes.

LOVE LOVE LOVE

I really liked it at first. I hate how some pictures your face is so white compared to your skin tone, and it's because of your foundation, especially when you're not wearing higher end brands. This foundation photographs very nicely.

I give it 2.5, because I realize this isn't for "oily/combination" skin. It's probably good for normal or dry, because of the shimmer in it. So as some other posters have mentioned, it didn't work well for me. (I only used half the bottle, then switched.)

Love this product.

This product really does take out your eye make up very easily. I usually have UDPP, then multiple shades of eyeshadow, and coats of mascara, and this product takes all of this off in seconds.

I also love how your not left with "cloudy" eyes. I don't know how to really explain it, but usually when you're trying to get stuff off your eye, there is a "blur" when you open your eyes. Then it feels all oily and what not as you try to get that feeling off. =|

Love love love love. Probably the only department store item, I will continue to buy.

Love this Product

I used to have to apply the Prep and Prime, and a pot from MAC. But with SIN, I just apply that and it keeps my shadow from creasing for a long long long time. With the MAC products, by the end of the work day or even the party (not even more than 3 hrs or so), the shadow would start creasing. It could be that I may have put too much P&P and the pot (I hear that can do it), but that is even more a reason why I love love love SIN. I don't have to think about is this too much, or too little. One final thing, I love how you can wear SIN alone (no shadow) and still look good!
