Formula smudges all over.

I think this is one of those mascaras you either love or hate. For me, it's a serious case of the latter. To be fair, I really wanted to love this- so much that I even bought this mascara 2x, then tried the waterproof, then the Black Out, the Exstase, and even Iconic!! My gripes with Dior Show are endless though...

First, the brush is too big for me. I'm sure it's fine for most, but for my Asian eyes & lashes it's too much, and becomes a game of Operation, trying not to hit my eyeball/skin with the giant brush. Also, this giant brush makes it impossible for me to apply the product to my lower lashes. I end up using a clean masaca wand from other used up mascaras to apply with. The worst thing about this mascara though is the formula- it's one of the worst mascara formulas I've tried. It's goopy, and after it's applied to my lashes, it's still goopy. It smudges on my lash line within the same hour it was applied. ugh. I've even tried using different mascara bases underneath, but Dior Show tends to look clumpy when applied with a base. My first tube of this, I used around 10x while trying to figure out how to make this mascara work for me, but I found it dried out and became flaky within this time. Double ugh.

Anyway, I have friends who consider this their HG mascara (even some Asian), so I suggest you give it a try before purchasing.

Looks so natural

Like most other reviews of this, great coverage for such a natural looking base. Sure, it's a tinted moisturizer, but there is a reason why Laura Mercier's tinted moisturizers have such a cult following. The coloring really sinks into your skin with just enough coverage to even out skin tone beautifully. If you need extra coverage, use a light foundation or concealer to cover up imperfections. The oil free formula is also great for oily skin types because there are no worries of clogged pores or too drying of a formula that causes your skin to overproduce more oil.

My only peeve is the color selection. There's a big difference in shades (in my opinion), so if I end up getting a little sun, I need to either stick with the lighter shade & even out with some bronzer, or mix 2 shades to get the correct one.

Great pressed powder

LOVE!! The consistency of this powder is so gorgeous and soft. It's sheer enough to set foundation with (when used with a brush), but gives enough coverage to touch up your face throughout the day. It's not a starch matte finish, so if you have oily skin like me, a trick is to layer the product by use blotting papers first, brushing on a sheer layer of MAC Blot Powder, then lightly sweeping this Chanel powder on. This way, you take care of exsisting & possible oil, but still get this product's diffused look without getting cakey.

Sweet scent with warm undertones.

It's hard to review perfumes since everyone has they're own taste when it comes to scents so this is more of an opinion of the scent from a sweet & warm scent lover. Mademoiselle is very sweet, almost candy-like to start, but as it wears there is a slight musky/woody/spicy scent that keeps the fragrance from feeling like a 13 year old's first perfume. I find that this stays on the skin pretty well too, which is nice since sometimes it can be a hassle to carry around anything larger than a roller ball perfume size.

If you're looking for a fun and flirty, but slightly refined, year-round, day-time scent, than this is for you.

Great sophisticated gloss!

Chanel glosses are, to me, the sophisticated version of MAC lipglass. The shine is much more subdued, shimmer is fine, consistency is non-sticky (SO IMPORTANT), and color range is well edited and refined. I LOVE that they aren't sticky but still not too runny. I also LOVE the packaging- makes me feel like I splurged on something fantastically fabulous every time I pull it out of my makeup bag.

The only con would be the doe foot applicator. I would much prefer a brush like in Dior's Dior Addict Ultra Gloss, but this problem is easily solved by using a separate lip brush for application.

Perfect stick eyeliner!!!

This is my HG stick-type eyeliner. No, really, I own it in every color.

I love that I don't have to constantly sharpen it since it's a twist type, but if i'm needing a finer point, a small shaver is attached to the end. This liner goes on dark and true to color in one pass, then stays on all day. It's smudgable, but dries much faster than most other "smudgeable long lasting" liners, making it perfect to be used in tight lining (waterline) eyes. I'm not sure why people don't gush about this liner the way they do with MUFE Aqua Eyes- I find this one far surpasses MUFE. The color range might not be as large, but they are luxurious and rich, and somehow inherently Chanel-esque.

CON: It's a bit pricey- $28- so it might be a splurge for some, but if you take the dive, you'll love it.

Amazing high quality polishes

OPI is a brand that I'm deeply loyal to. Aside form their vast selection of colors and formulas, the polishes are now Big 3 Free, very chip resistant, and the color payoff is incredible. On top of that, they have that extra wide brush that makes at-home manicures a cinch. No wonder OPI accounts for 95% of my nail polish collection!
