My Go-To Mascara

Up until recently I used only drugstore brand mascaras. I didn't really appreciate what a quality mascara could do. I was intrigued by the multiple step process and heard a lot of good things about this one, so I purchased it. Once I tried it, I was hooked! I've had really good results with it. Sometimes I just wear the black mascara part. Other times, I go the whole way and use the nylon bits as well. My lashes definitely look longer and more full. I usually do it pretty-and-go style, and it works great, but if you have some patience and really get it sorted out, you'll get an extra strong result. I think it is especially good for people with thinner lashes.

Great Color!

This color is so great. At first, a purple gloss may not seem like the most versatile color, but it's incredibly flattering. The color looks great-- it's both unusual and highly wearable at the same time. I've worn it constantly for quite a while now and find that I keep returning to it. It's super pretty! Plus the Armour formula is great. Your lips feel really moisturized (even after you take it off) and the smell is really nice, kind of like an orange chocolate.

beautiful and great texture

I love the Too Faced La Creme lipstick! They go on smooth and creamy and feel so moisturizing even after wearing them all night. There are a lot of colors to choose from, all of which are really flattering. Their scent is also super delicious! They smell like lemon cake. Every time I put them on, I get images of a birthday party! ha ha ha! I really love their Stiletto Red and Coral Fire. Naughty Nude is a great shade when you just want to have an even color and moisturized lip. There are some (like Fucshia Shock) that I haven't had a chance to try yet but really want to!

Wow!

I recently tried a number of Anna Sui lip shades and have totally fallen in love. The packaging is beautiful and they have a really gorgeous, real rose scent. The range of colors is limited, but each of them are beautiful and super wearable. One of the things I liked most about them is that the color goes on sheer in the first pass, but after a couple swipes, builds up to be really strong and vibrant. Other bold lip colors that I have go on really strong in the first pass, so you have to draw your line with total precision and focus. With this, you can be a little more haphazard. I'm more inclined to wear it out on a long night because I know that retouching it on the fly won't be difficult, since it has that forgiving quality to it.

Beautiful!

I've been playing around with this palette for a few days now. I was a little uncertain of the color combos-- there isn't really a highlight shade and most of the colors have sparkle. Usually I like a combination of matte and sparkle. But I've really come to love the palette and have found a lot of things I can do with the colors. I did the look of the little girl drawn on the lid and it came out great! It was a deep purple smokey eye with a red lip. Plus the packaging is really great and feels really nice to hold in your hand.

Absolutely Adore!

I absolutely adore the Portland Black Lipstick Company! I found them through a photo posted by Naelle D. of Difficult Island and immediately ordered some! I've tried the Black, Bugs Blood, Difficult Island, Undead Red and Pewter Cauldrin and love them all. The pigmentation is excellent and the black is the best I've tried. I also love their whole aesthetic, from the way the product is packaged to the writing on their site.

Love love love!

We've had all the Armour Beauty shades here in the office and for the past few weeks, I've been so obsessed with them that I'll wear at least three different colors throughout the day, just to try them out. They are super moisturizing and wear really nicely throughout the day. My lips feel amazing and are never dried out from wearing them. The colors are all gorgeous. The hardest thing is just figuring out which one to wear!

I like it!

At first I was weirded out to the tomatoes part, but I had heard good things about this brand (the Yes To... brand) so I decided to give it a shot. I like it! The smell is nice and my face feels clean afterward. I'm trying to break my habit to St. Ives Apricot Scrub. It's not quite as sandpapery as St. Ives (I like sandpapery) but I do feel like I'm getting some scrubbing in. The thing I like most is that it's pretty natural.

Great for tightlining!

I've been curious about this ever since I first saw it. The thing that really struck me was that it would be useful for tightlining. The pencil that I've been using for that smudges, so if I use it, it ends up all over my face. So I needed another solution. Enter the 3 way lash lining tool! The 3 pronged tip makes it easy to get into the upper lash line and the color comes out with an easy tap. It was also easy to use as a liquid liner above the eye. I haven't worn it out yet, just tried it at home, but am excited to do a look with it! The color seems really strong and the handling is manageable. I would say that I'm not a total noob with liquid eyeliner, but I'm not a pro either. So this is really perfect!

Super smooth!

I swatched this a while back and didn't get it because I wasn't in a shopping mood. But then it was all I could think about! It seemed like it went on without barely even touching my skin. I hate pencil liners. They seem completely barbaric if you have to pull at all on your lid. This one glides super ultra smooth, you hardly even feel it. I went back and got it and now I use it constantly. It makes a great line and is a very dense black.
