All sunblocks are not created equal..

That's not to say that I don't pretty much hate all of them (becuase I do). As far as sunblocks go; however, this one sucks a lot less than pretty much all of the others I've tried.

I'm a big fan of a lot of Aveeno's skincare products and this one is no exception. I like that it dries to a powdery finish instead of an oilslick on my face. My makeup actually went on really nicely after I applied this!

Quick and easy way to fake fuller hair!

SO a friend of mine always looked absolutely amazing every time we'd go out. Granted, she's gorgeous anyways but I knew she had a secret... and it turned out to be her hair!

She described this hair piece as a "half wig" instead of simply extensions, and I have to agree. This is more than just some clip in pieces, it's a single and kinda large piece to put in your hair, but it's easy to use and really fun.

What really nice about these is that you get insane volume but can still hide it with minimal effort. One of my favorite ways to wear it is under a simple black headband, which totally hid where the extensnions clipped into my hair. Half up also works nicely, you just have to be sure you don't pull too much back and end up exposing the backing.

I found the hair to be a little too shiny to match mine so I prayed it with a light coat of hairspray and that seemed to dull the sheen just a little. You can see in the pic that it's still a little shinier than my hair but no one seemed to notice at night : )

Fun way to create new looks in minutes!

WHY did you discontinue Flamingo?!?!

The formula for these liners is good. Nothing too special really... not too dry not too creamy- goes on nicely. What I truly loved about these pencils is the color Flamingo... it's the perfect combo of pink and orange and now it's discontinued! Blah!

The great thing about Bobbi Brown is how natural her color's come off... so maybe there's still hope I'll find a good match for me. Until then, I'm going to be using my Flamingo ultra sparingly!

"UM, this will totally, like, turn you ORANGE"

....or so says the snarky Planet Beauty chick (who probly just wanted to upsell me the more expensive stuff). I don't find the color too orange-y at all. For the money, this stuff is a real bargain if you're planning on keeping your tan through the summer. You're not going to look like you achieved this a la the real thing (the actual sun) but you'll get a healthy looking glow and I'm impressed with how my skin feels after using it.

I am super pasty white right now so I decided to be impatient and go with the Ultra Dark. I've used tanners before so I wasn't afraid... I pretty much knew what I was getting into here. If you've never used a self tanner before you might want to start with a lighter color.

This stuff is no joke- it'll tan you, alright. Ultra Dark is pretty darn dark after a single applicaiton. I went for round three today to keep my results up and so far I'm happy with the color.

After slathering this cherry scented stuff on I had a sneaking suspicion it could be a problematic product. I not only smelled cherries, but streakiness in my future.. and I saw some disgusting looking chunkies from trying to rub too much on at once. So don't get all eager-beaver like I did and try to apply gobs and gobs of it. You'll end up running to the linen closet (sorry mom) for a towel to get the excess off.

After buffing pretty much my entire body down with a clean towel I felt more comfortable that my tan would look less tiger striped and more Snooki, (you gotta accept that you're gonna look a tiny bit orange and not 100% natural). And don't be freaked out that it goes on kinda pinky-gross redish, that goes away after a little bit and actually helps you see where you put the product.

Day 2, after developing fully, I wake up to my boyfriend saying "UGhhh, all I can smell is YOUR TAN!" I looked down at my stinky self, realizing I had a wonderfully bronzed glow, despite smelling like a day old chicken dinner.

So YEP, the stuff stinks just as bad as any other tanning lotion I've ever used. I had high hopes that it wouldn't after watching a few YouTube vids on it, but alas, it wreaks. At least it smells good going on!

To even out my second application (I had a few subtle streaks) I misted myself with Neutrogena's Micromist spray. Totally worked! Here's a shot of what my tan looked like after the first application (just imagine a piece of plain white paper for the "before" color lol).

**Update... the heavy odor that the product first put off has worn off, even after a few more applications... So maybe it was just my body's response to the ingredients. I'm happy to report I no longer smell!! LOL!*

Your skin should be your biggest investment...

at least that's how I feel, anyway. I don't have great skin so I want to do everything I can to 1. improve it and 2. protect it for the future. I was so stupid before- tanning, messing with my acne, NOT moisturizing........ UGH, if only I could go back and pinch myself!!!!!!!

Alas, there's hope... and it comes in oil form of Argan Oil! I loove this product. I've tried many, many, many oils and am still an avid fan of the Argan variety. It's so light and wonderful, and best yet- never makes me break out. I use it daily as a light facial moisturizer but I also mix it into my deep conditioning hair masks, my lotions, and pretty much every other product I own Unlike other products that just "contain" Argan Oil the Josie Maran line is 100% pure and organic, with no other "filler" oils that might not be so great for your skin/hair/etc.

Totally worth every penny!

OhOhOMG!

So, thanks to my FOREVER FRIEND lol Kristina H, (see below!)... and her "I'm not buying a $20 sponge- but I'll buy two and give one to Angela" antics I got to try this aaaaamazing sponge.

It applies foundation incredibly. I was just whining to her at the mall how I feel like a complete beast with my face all broken out the way it is right now- Well, beast-no-more thanks to the flawless application this thing provides. Seriously worth the investment!!!

Now what little surprise will I get Kristina to say thanks for this thing?!?!? HMM!

Light with nice color.

I've tried many bronzers... the good, the bad, and the just plain ugly. This one totally falls in the good category! It's soft and pretty, with small flecks of glitter to reflect the light in a subtle way. The color is perfect with my currently pale complexion but would boost up darker skin nicely as well. As the name suggests, the color is perfectly golden, not muddy or orangey at all.

Yay, a great nude lipstick!!

Nude never looks right on me. It's always too beige or too pink. Well, not this one! I purchased the lipstick in "bone" after watching one of Imogen's Foxy Locks' videos. She wore a different color but the finish looked really nice. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that it works just as well for me as it appeared to work for her!

I can't vouch for the other colors but the consistancy and staying power have definitely left me impressed.

Omgahhh it's a great powder.

So the beauty Miss Kristina H, see review below, is the reason I go this powder in the first place!! Kekeke, thanks forever friend!! <3

OK ok, back to the product- I happend to buy a color that's a tad on the tan side for my skin right (Dream is way darker in person than it looks online) It's ok though because I discovered it makes an excellent countour/bronzer. So the first time I tried it I actually was like WOW... it goes on like... WOW. LOL.

Seriously though, it's so light and although the applicator looks kinda like it would just be a gimick it actually works amazing well for even coverage. Totally impressed! Now if only Sephora would restock my actual color... grrrrrrr.

Meh.

The "airbrush" finish advertised is really more like "matte and kinda cakey." I think the formula is great for people who have basically good skin already and don't need to fuss with lots of primer, concealer, powder, etc...

I ended up looking totally overdone every time I tried to incoorperate this product into my makeup routine. I won't be buying this one again.
