Went with Hot Mama, shoulda gone Coralista...

I agonized about which blush to purchase... The Balm's Hot Mama or Coralista. Well, after buying Hot Mama I realized that shimmer is good and great- sometimes. I went back to Sephora and trie don Coralista a few more times. The fact that it's less shimmery makes it so much more wearable for daytime.

The pink is about the same in both of these products (Hot Mama has a tiny bit of gold to make it shine more).. which I thought would be nice but now I'm full of angst and regret. Coralista is just as nice of a color, just as nice of a texture, and much more flexible in terms of looks- it's great for day OR night. And you can always add a little shimmer but you can't take it away.

If you're looking for a good product that you can use every day I'd go with this one.

Thick n greasy.

The whole Cetaphil line of moisturizers just doesn't really do it for me. It's so heavy and greasy- I just feel like my skin is being suffocated. The package may claim non-greasy but that really hasn't been my experience with any of the products (besides the cleansers which leave my skin feeling tight).

I prefer Aveeno's Positively Radiant daytime lotion with SPF to this one (even though I kind of hate lotions with SPF period- I know I need to wear it). It might be a bit more expensive but your makeup will go on better with the Aveeno and they both provide moisture and protection from the sun.

Drugstore staple but you can do better.

This isn't a "bad" cleanser- it's gentle and recommended by my old skin doc, but it's definitely not my favorite. It stings my eyes like crazy if I accidentally get a little bit in there. Just makes me think about how chemically based it is... and my skin also feels tight after I use it so I know it's been stripped of the makeup and dirt... but also of the good oils. I've really moved over to more natural, oil-based cleansers like Burt's Bees and am much happier with the results.

Don't expect big results but it's a nice gloss.

I didn't really notice a big difference in the appearance of my lips but I really liked the texture of this gloss. It's not sticky at all- if anything I would describe it more as "creamy." It tingles a little when you put it on but didn't burn my lips like DuWop Lip Venom. If you're going to try this I would definitely go with a color- that way, if it doesn't actually plump your lips either, at least you'll have a nice colored gloss.

Love my coconut lip balm!

It glides on super smooth and has a nice finish. I can't say it lasts a really long time... but I don't mind applying it again and again! Tastes and smells totally delicious : )

If you're into toners, I'd go with this one.

Who knew the scent of tomato could be addictive? It might sound strange, but I couldn't get enough of how this product smelled. Tomatoes are great for your complexion so if toning is a part of your rountine, I would definitely give this prodcut a try. It can be a little harsh so I found myself only using in my oily areas (forhead and nose).

Great moisturizer!

This light formula feels amazing when you put it on. It smells great, absorbs quickly, and didn't irritate my finicky skin at all. I noticed my makeup goes on really nicely in the morning after I begin with the Miracle Worker AM (also Philosophy) and then moisturize with this a few minutes after. Good investment, especially if you have easily irritated skin but still want to get a little exfoliation with your moisturizer.

Nice and light.

I got a sample of this and really liked it. It's super light but delivered a good amount of moisture to my typically dry undereye area. Unlike a lot of other products I've tried under my eyes, this one didn't irritate the skin at all.

Unless you're a lifeguard, I'd go for the original instead...

You will have white lips after applying this. I didn't even know what to do with it after I bought it besides donate it to like a lifeguard or something. Unless you really just don't care if you're walking around with chalky white lips?? At least you know you're not gonna burn your lips when you wear this stuff!

Bleh.

I can't quite put my finger on what it is about this product I don't like. The smell, for one. It isn't bad by any means, but there's something about it that doesn't appeal to me. The texture also bothers me. It's.. it's.. I don't know how to describe it. Kind of filmy. I just didn't enjoy using this at all. It has amazing ingredients though, so that almost balances out what I don't like. Almost.
