Euphoria Season 2’s Beauty Secret: Chantecaille Future Skin

1

Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock, you’ve likely at least heard about Euphoria by now. The TV show has quickly become a cultural phenomenon—setting trends, defining a generation, and influencing everything from fashion to beauty looks. While the show’s first season featured over-the-top, full-glam makeup looks (rhinestones, and all), the second season’s beauty was surprisingly…subtle. As the characters evolved, so did their looks and aesthetics. While the looks were still trendsetting, they were more polished and refined. The pointed eye liner, pops of color, and Y2K glam was all centered around a clean canvas of dewy, natural-looking skin. The secret sauce? Chantecaille’s Future Skin.

The foundation is known for its innovative oil-free formula (no oil = less irritation for sensitive skin). Its lightweight formula is carefully crafted with skin-loving ingredients and 60% water (!) to hydrate the skin. The skincare-makeup hybrid formula sounded too good to be true, so I put it to the test—I figured if it’s good enough for the cast of Euphoria, it must be worth the hype. Here’s my honest review.

First impression

The foundation is housed in a pot, which is different from any other foundation than I’ve tried before. The formula felt much lighter on my fingers as I applied it to my face. Cream was the perfect shade for my medium skin tone. Once blended in, the foundation really offered a skin-like finish, as promised. My skin drank it right up, and smoothly blended like a dream. It gave my skin a glowing, dewy finish, perfect for a no-makeup makeup look. A little goes a long way, but you can build it up with multiple layers. It blurs imperfections without irritating sensitive skin or feeling heavy, making it perfect for warmer temps.

Pros

It gave me the perfect your-skin-but-better look. It blurred imperfections without emphasizing texture or giving a heavy feel. It truly felt like I wasn’t wearing anything at all. As someone who doesn’t opt for full-coverage all the time, this is the perfect skin tint-like product for everyday wear. The oil-free formula complimented my combination skin perfectly—hydrating the dry areas without adding any greasiness to my oily T-zone.

Cons

While you can build it up with multiple layers, it isn’t the ideal substitute for a full-coverage complexion product. The pot also felt a bit unsanitary—I’d rather not dip my fingers or sponge in the product itself.

The final verdict

If it was packaged with a pump or dropper, it would honestly be perfect. It left me with the lightweight, luminous, healthy-looking glow I prefer. It’s gentle on the skin and lives up to its skin-loving promises. It already replaced my arsenal of skin tints and immediately became my new go-to complexion product.
