Alexis Mabille

PARIS FASHION WEEK S/S 2012

Models looked as if they'd been frolicking outside in a garden before strutting the runway at Alexis Mabille, sporting flushed, rosy cheeks and pink lips. Makeup artist Carole Colombani described the inspiration as, "fresh faced girls in a David Hamilton photograph."

Makeup

To begin, Carole blended Select Moisturecover over hydrated skin where needed to even skin tone. She then applied Prep + Prime Transparent Finishing Powder to set and polish the skin. Posey Cremeblend Blush was blended over apples of cheeks and a touch of MAC Pro Red Lipmix was applied over cheeks for a flush.

For the shimmering eyes, Carole blended MAC Pro Dusk Cream Colour Base over the upper and lower eyelids with a firm brush to achieve a halo effect around eyes. She then blended Hush Cream Colour Base through the inner corner of eyes to highlight and used Taupe Impeccable Brow Pencil to shape and perfect brows before finishing them with Clear Brow Set. A thin, light layer of Haute & Naughtly Black Mascara was applied to define both the upper and lower lashes, and MAC Pro Shine Mixing Medium was lightly patted on the eyelids for a natural sheen. For the rosy lips, Carole blended concealer over the perimeter of lips and dotted MAC Pro Red Lipmix through the center with fingers. To finish, she dusted Fleur Power Powder Blush over the Red Lipmix for a matte finish.
