Basso and Brooke
LONDON FASHION WEEK S/S 2012
The look at Basso and Brooke was inspired by a cosmic, Tropicana princess. Makeup artist Mel Arter wanted to contrast the makeup with the bright, splashy colorful clothes, so kept the look simple and beautiful.
Makeup
Mel first applied MAC Studio Moisture Tint SPF 15 to hydrate skin and provide light, natural coverage with a 190 Foundation Brush. She then blended Select Moisturecover with a 224 Tapered Blending Brush only where models had a little blemish or redness. Next, Mel blended Fusion Gold Metal X Cream Shadow over cheekbones to create a dewy glow.
For eyes, Mel started with a base of Cream Color Base in Luna to create a solid base. She then dabbed a small amount of MAC Pro Paint Stick in Pure White and Fusion gold Metal X Cream Shadow (available spring/summer 2012) in the inner tear ducts to highlight them. For brows, she blended MAC Select Moisturecover to camouflage natural depth and tone. She finished off by keeping lips natural with MAC Lip Conditioner.
