3 Ways To Get Smoother Legs in Winter
Published Dec 15, 2012

If you live in a cold climate, winter weather can change your legs from silky to scaly. We've all been there—normally soft gams turn dry, rough, and flaky from harsh temperatures no matter how much product you apply. We've got three techniques to keep your legs glowing, hydrated, and sexy year round!
Turn to Oils
Body oils are different than regular moisturizers because they contain plant oils, vitamins, and fatty acids. Moisturizers are filled primarily with water and fillers, thus, oils penetrate the skin deeper. You can easily DIY your own body oil using coconut oil, olive oil, and essential oils!
Moisturize After the Shower
Moisturizers soak in faster when applied onto already damp—not wet—skin and they help seal in the water on your skin. The same rule goes for face serums and moisturizers too.
Layer Products for Maximum Moisture
If you need mega-hydration, layer on your products for maximum moisture. After showering, apply a few drops of your favorite body oil and let it soak in the skin for two or three minutes. After the oil absorbs, slather on your favorite moisturizer for an extra quench.
