Good evening beautiful ladies :)
ok briefly I'm 22 years old and my whole life didn't need to use a moisturizer until I was 20 I used couple of affordable products (turned out very bad), so I'm very convinced in investing my money in a very good moisturizer ( although expensive isn't always better) but even if it was I'm ready for it!
I'm asking you here because I've been adviced not to change between brands just get it and stick with it!
I have a combo skin, tends to be very dry specially after washing my face.
so what do you recommend??
thank you ^.^

If you're dry after you cleanse, maybe you should also switch your cleanser also. The Neutrogena brand are products less likely to clash with your skin. But of course anyone can react to anything. Here are a few suggestions

You should check out the brand Mario Badescu:) They have a few different kinds of moisturizers and I love all of them! They're at Ulta:) The quality is amazing!

You can use cerave cleanser its packed with ceramides which are fatty acids and hyaluronic acid,it will keep your skin hydrated then you can use the moisturizing lotion or if you want more moisture the moisturizing cream.

CeraVe is great. I use their PM lotion and it helps so much when my skin gets dry some my acne medications. It was the only thing that helped clear up a really bad dry patch I had and it did it pretty much overnight. I plan on getting the AM one with SPF when my current moisturizer with SPF is gone. I also just picked up their eye cream and it's great if you can't spend a fortune on an eye cream.

I've had good results with Murad. It's a bit spendy, but it hasn't adversely affected my skin at all. I use the Essential C (orange label) which has SPF and is kind of greasy, but absorbs really fast. I use the purple age repair one at night.

I was suggestions things that were less likely to irritate your skin and chose drugstore choices. But if you want to try high end... I would suggest Dermologica, another brand less likely to irritate sensitive skin.

@Marleen cerave is drugstore ,and recommended by dermatologist because it's gentle ,Neutrogena deep clean has salicylic acid in it ,and it does tingle so I would not consider it gentle.and she is looking for something that's hydrating ,those cleansers are not gonna help with hydrating the skin at all neutrogena deep clean is good for blackheads or congested skin

I am aware of the salicylic acid but I've read a lot of reviews on how people with sensitive combo skin like it. Maybe because of the lower concentrations of the SA in a cream base as opposed to a gel base. I know that they have Retin-A in a cream form & gel form because a lot of people find the gel one too drying. But, you are right in stating SA even in low concentrations can still irritate some ultra sensitive people.. It seems there are two major kinds of sensitive people. Those who break out with most things & those who get red, flakey, burning & stinging reactions. Teeba A. said her skin "turned out bad" with past products but that was kinda of vague. Anyone who has had a bad reaction from a product should always do a patch test.

I always recommend salicylic acid products and I have used Neutrogena deep clean so I know your skin will still feel dry after I'm not saying anything was wrong with the products you recommend but they just won't help hydrate dry skin and she wants to stick with a brand so cerave cleanser and moisturizer is both its good for anti aging because of the essential fatty acids and hyaluronic acid and great for dry skin because hyaluronic acid can hold 1000 times its weight in water and it's drugstore so it's affordable if she said she has congested skin or breakouts then the neutrogena would have been a good choice ,I know cerave is a dermatologist recommend brand because it doesn't cause irritations, but I do agree on the patch test it can save your face

Yes, I understand, its kinda hard to suggest new products when we don't know what she was using in the past. Sometimes its one bad thing or sometimes its a combination of bad things & sometimes its a combination of good things that don't mesh well together! Lucky thing everyone here is so helpful & willing to share their experiences & reviews.

Thank you all so much for taking the time to help me
I will try to purchase and look for the products you recommended but I'm sure not everything is available in our markets!
and I use neutrogena deep cleane as a cleanser
I will change my cleanser tho because it seems to participate in drying out my skin

This works for me I have normal skin but during the weather I had very dry skin (never experience this before) so I bought this at Macy's makes my face feels like a baby's bottom lol. Kinda pricy but at Macy's they do free facials and you can test the product before buying. At least you know. Plus the travel size cost $15 if you wanna just try it out and if it doesn't work you can always return it.
