I have narrowed my search for a foundation to 3 options; Loreal True Match, Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse, and Revlon Colorstay for Combination skin. I am looking for something that has medium coverage, and one that won't melt in the hot Texas Summer. Which one do you recommend?

I think the mousse would be easiest to work with. If you used like a beauty blender dupe or real, whichever, with it, it should feel nice in the heat.

I would suggest Estee Lauder Doublewear light. Great staying power..even in heat..yet is light on the skin with buildable coverage. Of the options posted, I prefer the Loreal. It has good pigmentation.

Thanks Rozberry! If I wasn't completely broke I would check the Estee Lauder one out :( Only drugstore brands for me.

I love the Revlon Colorstay for combo skin but the formula is thick and full coverage so I suggest not using it. but if you are combo skin then don't go for the Loreal true match, it'll break you out!!

I've never tried the Maybelline one but I'd suggest that or the Revlon nearly naked:)

Thanks ladies! I am going to the store today to get one so this is helpful, but I might just have to go with whichever has my shade :)

I also would recommend the El Double Wear. The L'Or?al is not long lasting and will melt right off. You can try and set it, but it's still not a long wearing foundation. If you have to stick to drugstore I would say go with the colorstay.

If you make an Estee Lauder purchase right now you get a lovely gift set. That makes it more of an economical purchase. ;) You should swing by their counter and ask for a sample of the double wear light. They will match it perfectly to your skin and even if you cannot purchase it, their samples are generous so you can enjoy it for more than a day.

Don't tempt me Rozberry! :) But even then I don't have the money to justify buying it :(

Have you considered a BB or CC cream to wear during the brutal heat? I actually like the Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream. I have sensitive skin and it never irritates. It's definitely affordable. I've tried the Lumi once and had no break out issues, but my skin runs on the dry side so that may be why. I am fond of Revlon's Photoready as well. Wish I could be of more help. Good luck and remember to hold your receipt. Most chain stores will honor a return if you are unhappy with a product.

Thanks Rozberry! I actually have tried the dream fresh bb cream, but the lightest shade was too dark and orange on me. I have thought about trying another one, but they don't provide enough coverage on their own :( But thank you so much for your help!

I was using UD naked skin then I picked up the maybeline liquid mousse and love it. I also live in Texas! It's just awesome I haven't reached for my naked skin foundation in over a month. It's a good price too.
