Do you like to apply your under eye concealers before or after your foundation? Also, if you do it after your foundation, do you apply under eye primer on top of your foundation to prime for the concealer?

Foundation or bb cream, concealer, powder is the order and if I'm skipping a step, I just take it out, so if I skipped foundation I'd just do concealer then powder.

Ya but I feel like it blends better when you use foundation after concealer. I've tried for years to conceal after and it NEVER looks as good. You'll notice lots of the gurus conceal first. Must be a reason!!

My favorite, kandee Johnson, taught me to conceal after foundation. I used to do it the other way. Ill stick with what looks best on me.

i asked about putting primer on top of foundation before under eye concealing because gossmakeupartist on youtube said tat was one of his nuber one tips for under eyes. foundation, then under eyeprimer then under eye concealing.
except when i tried it i found my undereyes just looked cakey thats why i asked. hmmmm

in makeup school we were taught that it depends on the type of foundation. with powder, it's common sense to conceal before. liquid and cream, conceal after. food foundations should be enough to cover redness and uneven skin tone. should anything come through, that's when you conceal. I don't use primer under the eyes, I feel that's just another layer to cake things up. also, have a look at the ingredients of your foundation and concealer. maybe they don't blend because they are not o the same base, maybe on is silicon and the other is water, or oil based. Gossmakeupartist always says like goes with like, or something like that.

It depends. If you use a powder foundation, you should conceal before. If you use a liquid foundation, conceal after. There's no sense in putting on a concealer and then just smearing it away with your foundation!

I use liquid foundation so that goes on first usually. I do that first to get some coverage down and then use concealer to get anything the foundation doesn't cover to my liking.
Hannah makes a great point though, you don't want to put on concealer first and then end up wiping it away with foundation. Don't waste any product you don't have to! :)

I use it after foundation, but if I notice my under eyes are extremely baggy/very purple, ill use a treatment concealer before foundation.

When I do my foundation I don't put it under my eyes and then put concealer on. I find sometimes it can get a little Caky with foundation and concealer under eyes

I put under eye concealer on first and then foundation because then I can blend the two together so that I don't have white circles around my eyes! This always works for me :)

I use MAC Vibrancy Under eye Primer. It is said to improve the purplish look under the eye and make your under eyes look better without makeup if you use it continuously. Because of this, I like to put it directly on my skin before foundation, then if I need it, I use my MAC concealer. So I'd say before Foundation and concealer if needed!
