Where are you going to get your license? Will it be international?

Yeah I was pleasantly surprised! And the lady at the passport office didn't say anything so hopefully I do get to keep it! Thank you for your help Emily!

They let you smile and leave your hair down? That's interesting. My first pictures were accepted by the photographer, but rejected when I sent in the actual application to the passport office. Hopefully they let you keep that one, it turned out really cute!

Ha! When I had my passport pic taken, I had just gotten off of work (I'm a Peds RN) and I definitely wasn't thinking. I just knew I had to get my passport application in! So I went to whatever random drugstore, had my pic snapped...and forgot that I was wearing cartoon scrubs! So for the next 10 years, I will have Wow Wow Wubbzy on my passport!

Here is how it turned out! Thank you guys for all your suggestions! I love how it turned out!

I redid my passport photo last year, and this is my suggestion: use very natural makeup. Try to avoid a lot of blush or bronzer (the photos tend to lean toward the warm side, and any red or bronze shades get worse). I did a neutral eye look with black mascara. False eyelashes and winged or heavy eyeliner (including on the waterline) were not allowed. Your hair has to be pulled completely out of your face and tucked behind your ears (no bangs, have to wear a headband), so make sure your eyebrows are in good shape. You're not allowed to make any facial expressions, so don't worry about teeth whitening or any of that jazz. Lipstick/gloss was also not allowed, just plain balm.

Basically, your goal is to eliminate redness and shine. A pressed powder and/or blotting sheet is necessary. Don't worry about it too much though, hardly anyone sees the photo anyway. :)

You're lucky you can wear makeup lol, in Canada you have to take it all off, they even have baby wipes at the centers. You're not even allowed to wear foundation or mascara.

Believe me I have been taking passport photo once every quarter :)
I try to look neat & often wear collared shirts in darker shades that helps me look a bit brighter :)
I put on thin eyeliner and kajol, and nice subtle color on lips! that's it :)

Bring a pressed powder or blotting sheets because you cannot have any shine for the photos! If so, they will be rejected.

Use concealer to hide flaws. Don't use bold makeup. Not many people when checking your ID really care how you look. You should like it though if its important to you. (When I took mine last, I could not stop laughing and your not allowed to smile! Lol!! The photographer was getting really annoyed. He kept getting pictures with my eyes closed...)

Thanks Sarah! Haha I try and stay away from using white eyeliner to make my eyes look bigger, mainly because I feel my eyes are too big anyway! But thank you for the tip I might need to pick up one of the NYX nude liners :) and all the rest is also super helpful!!

Use light eyeshadows because sometimes too dark can look bad because of the quality of the picture (lighting or things like that). & definitely wear fake eyelashes and eyeliner.

I wouldnt use white eyeliner. Nyx acctually makes an eyeliner that is in a few different skin tone colors use that on your water line to make your eyes appear bigger. I would also do some contouring and highlighting to bring your features forward. No colors to stay away from I wouldnt use too much shimmery shadows or unnatural eye shadows.

Are there certain eyeshadows I should stay away from? Could I use a champagne color?
