Hey guys I need your help... I am 27 years old and have never really struggled with acne in the past. Lately it seems like I've been experiencing clogged pores and black heads! I keep breaking out with, well I wouldn't say pimples but, kind of like small clogged pores which become little white bumps around my eyes and in between my eyebrows and around my nose! No matter what I do they do not come out by pressing on them, which I have now created red marks all around my face!! I know that touching them and squeezing my pores is the worst thing I could do but, I just couldn't help it and now I'm left with marks... What's the best thing for clogged pores and also scars and redness to help my face heal? I was also wondering if anyone knows what it's called that the clogged pores are and what it's caused from? Also any suggestions on wrinkle creams and eye cream that lifts the eyes?? Also off anyone wants to give me any suggestions on the best liquid cover-up and foundation, I would really appreciate any help!! Thank you!! -J.S.

I agree w the milia if it can't get anything out of it. its keratin trapped under the skin. sometimes using creams that are to heavy can cause it. a derm can easily remove them but for at home a glycolic acid or even better a salycilic acid it will work deeper into the pore then a glycolic. either one of those will help w the marks too. you can also incorporate a retinol serum that will help w the pores, fine lines and dark marks too. a vitiamin c will help to brighten your complexion. lastly a retinol eye cream. check out Paula's choice for any of the above products its a great line. Olay and roc have the retinol eye cream

--Lately it seems like I've been experiencing clogged pores and black heads!:

A BHA would be suitable for that, AHA's are for sun damage and can help with scarring, however you are experiencing blackheads and clogged pores so you need to use a BHA, not an AHA.

•AHA's ( Alpha hydroxy acid ) is for dry skin.
AHA's focus on exfoliating the outer layer of the skin as well as adding moisture. This is mostly for those with sun damage.

•BHA's ( Beta hydroxy acid ) is for oily skin, acne prone skin.
This is great for blackheads, whiteheads, pores, and white bumps ( milia or 'baby acne' ). BHA's can exfoliate deep into the pores which in turn can make the skin appear more firmer.

Both of the above are Chemical Exfoliants, so there is no need to exfoliate your skin physically as chemical exfoliants go much deeper than a physical exfoliant. It definitely will give you smoother, softer skin and refined pores on the first time you use it ( I can guarantee you that from personal experience. )
An antioxidant serum will help heal your scars and brighten up your skin as well. Vitamin C serums are generally used for scarring.

See the above answer. What you have may be milia, also known as 'Baby Acne'.

---and what it's caused from?
Genetics, comedogenic ingredients, not drinking enough water and environmental factors.

Any eye cream with retinol in it.

I Agree with these ladies it does sound like Milia, and that comes from using products that are to thick especially around your eye area you have a lot less layers of skin in your eye area an creams that are not formulated for your eye area will clog your pores an chemical exfoliaters do help salicylic acid products (Bha) and Glycolic acid or lactic acid (Aha) both in combination will help bha to clean the pore wall out and aha to loosen the sticky layer that holds dead skin on your face along a stabilized form of vitamin C and spf daily, you should notice a difference

Thank you everyone! what would be some good names and products for the (BHA), Salicylic acid products, Gylycolic/lactic acid, vitamin C product, retinol eye cream, antioxidant serum? If someone could also maybe list what the regimen should be?

Paula's choice has all of the above their AHA is glycolic based. their salicylic comes in liquid, gel or loition. she has a few antioxidant serums I love the ulta light. the only thing they don't offer is the eye cream.
1. face wash (no scrub if your using one of the other exfoliants that day)
2.exfoliant aha or bha
3.antioxidant serum (w this I usually mix a few drops of the c serum in it)
4.eye cream
5. moisturize
wait inbetween layering the products let them soak in
if your not used to retinol and aha or bha's start off slowly introducing them one by one.
I'm sure the other ladies on here will share their favorites as well

Where can I find those products, I tried looking on here but couldn't find them!?

Your welcome! Paula's choice you can find online. the retinol eye you can get at the drug store oil of Olay makes one and I believe roc has one as well. don't apply the aha or bha up to the under eye especially when you first start out. I do it but I've been using all the above plus a script retin-a for sometime now. you have to let your skin get used to them.. again start off slow
