Yea it has like three steps
You prime them with the lash primer
Then you apply the lash fibers
N then you put the mascara on top
The fibers are suppose to extend your lashes I guess :P

I hated it honestly I felt like the fibers went every where and poked my eyes all day!! Everyone is different though

I use it, it's definitely a process. For me it's time consuming and takes practice but if done correctly it can look great. I strongly suggest you never sleep in it your lashes will look like crap in the morning. Everyone comes up with their own way of applying it you just have to play with it and see what works for you whether you use the mascara that comes with it or another one. YouTube has tutorials and tips too.

I bought it and returned it. I hated it! I wrote a review on here when I tried it, definitely look at the reviews for this product. It took a lot of time and effort to apply and it didn't "wow" me at all. It was SUPER clumpy and sticky. I could take time to separate my lashes, but it just seemed like a waste, especially for the price I paid... plus since the mascara was sticky and never seemed to dry, the lashes just clumped back together again. The end result looked comparable to the drug store mascara I was using at the time. Definitely not worth the $35-40. If it was cheaper, I may have kept it around, but honestly, I never would have used it. Putting on falsies takes a lot less time than applying this mascara and perfecting it.
