I've always wondered this, because I'll be looking for a new job soon but am also craving unnatural hair. :B
What jobs allow this? Other than cosmetology. Or rather, ladies with unnatural colored hair, where do YOU work?

I don't have un natural hair but I work at Ulta and there is some there that do. I have seen a girl at Journeys (shoe store) with pink hair.

I don't know where you live, and that definitely factors in, but here's a website with all sorts of job listings and it tells you what companies allow piercings, tattoos, colorful hair etc. :)

I'm not sure since my job does not allow it. I'm guessing any place where you are not required to dress in business professional clothing

Usually retail places allow it they usually are not super strict or really any minimum wage paying job they could usually care less.

Not that you should limit yourself to min wage jobs at all - other more creative jobs usually allow it as well like at the hair salon or spa or the fashion industry

I know companies such as superstores, clothing shops, cafes, bars, restaurants etc. In England there's also shops such as blue banana and rowfers where the workers have piercings, tattoos and brightly coloured hair/dreadlocks etc :)

I had a similar thread a while back (two weeks ago maybe?) and people mentioned a lot of boutique style shops, anything with a "creative" side (tattoo parlors, salons, designers, artists), and non-chain restaurants. I know most big box stores have a dress code that doesn't allow it, especially if you work where customers can see you. Working back of house generally doesn't care, but always check with the supervisors.
I was curious because nowhere in my town will hire people with "crazy" colored hair (except the aforementioned creative jobs). It really depends on where you live and the company you work for.

I had magenta/bright red and I'm a counsellor in an elementary school.
