I've used this multiple times to get black out, and I say it does work. my hair does usually turn an orangey color, but that is because I have been coloring over my hair for 8 years, and there's. a lot of color over color over bleach over color, ect. you MUST rinse for a long time, otherwise the hair color molecules will oxidize and your hair will darken. I rinse and shampoo until the water goes cold and I can't take it. I also use a clarifying shampoo. I'm actually about to do it to my hair within the hour, I really do like this product. just a warning, it does smell rather badly, it contains sulfur and the scent is very very obvious.

Also, if you plan on recoloring your hair after for any reason, use a protein filler and only process for about 5-10 minutes, the color always grabs quickly after using a hair color remover. a dark brown will appear black, ect, so it's best to go one or two shades lighter. I hope it works out for you!

Colour oops has peroxide in it, which means yes. Your hair will be orange. It's also really damaging. Also, whatever you do DO NOT ATTEMPT TO LIGHTEN/BLEACH your hair immediately after using colour oops! I've had clients come in with chemical burns, as well as it can make your hair go dark again. If the colour you used was semi/Demi permanent, try washing with a clarifying shampoo like Prell. It should help fade the colour. As far as lightening goes, go to a professional or you risk frying your hair.

I'd start with some thicker foils all over, and yes they will be able to foil the back as well! Make sure to tell the stylist your end goal, so she/he knows where to place the foils! Good luck!

Loreal's Colour-Remover is better in my opinion but it could depend on hair type. (:
