Shave downwards, or toward the direction the hair is growing. Don't shave "against the grain". Use a gentle shaving cream and make sure to apply some aloe vera, ingrown hair gel, or lotion.

I use a disposable razor with baby soap, and shave downwards. & don't spread your skin if that makes sense. I found that this is the most successful way. and I havent had any bumps or ingrown hairs. before when I used an expensive razor I would get bumps... hope I helped :)

Waxing is always the best way to go haha but I'm pretty shy so it's hard to go get it done. make sure you use a really sharp razor and a really hydrating shaving cream. I sometimes even use conditioner. also find a good calming lotion afterwards as well.

For the first few times you should shave downwards.. but after that you'll have to start shaving against the grain to get a close shave. also, you should use conditioner or a shaving cream.
