Hi was wondering what I can use to clean it up please.

Bath mouth it's good for that. Go to a pharmacy and take the one is recommended by dentist

By spots do you mean acne or a cold sore? Inside the mouth as in a canker sore?

If it's acne, Tea Tree Oil or Bare Minerals Blemish Therapy.
If it's a cold sore, I'd increase my Zinc and C intake and apply Abreva. I'd also make sure to keep my lips hydrated. Cold sores love to set in when lips are dry, cracked and vulnerable.
If it's a canker sore, I'd pick up some of Colgate's Peroxyl Mouth Rinse and apply the product Kank-a. They make a gel pen that will numb the pain and speed healing. It also eases cold sore pain.
