Hey girl! On september I'm going to start to go to the university and I don't have any idea what purse/bag buy for everyday... I would like to carry there a notebook, pensil case, mobile... What style would you recommend me? My style is casual but a bit chic.. Photos please, thanks!!

Crossbody is really bad for your back. If you must carry a bag, always use one that has a strap par shoulder. You might regret it later otherwise (I know what I'm taking about).

I agree with Nathalie, even though I think cross body bags are cute. I had one in highschool and it started hurting my back ):

Love this bag! So casual, yet classic and chic with all the brand name business. Real leather and real quality.

I really like messenger bags and satchels. You can fit a lot in them and they're durable.

This is the bag I use for school:

I agree with Nathalie. I used a messenger bag in high school and ended up in physical therapy for my back and shoulders. My doctor said that putting weight on one side of your body changes the alignment of your spine, and over time that is bad news.

I use a regular backpack, because it gets dirty in the rain, gets kicked around on lecture hall floors, has binders and books shoved in and out, etc. If you do decide on a fancier bag, make sure it is water-resistant and that the straps are supportive enough. I can't tell you how many people at the Uni I went to had cute bags where the strap broke on the first day because of textbooks and binders.

If you're going to have a lot of text books I'd recommend a backpack. When I was in school I was able to just use tote bags. They can get dirty and wet or whatever. Then I would usually carry my normal purse. But if you're looking for something just for odds and ends and not for super heavy duty use, just something to put a notebook in I'd go with this bag. (I'll post it below, my pics never post when I have text with them it seems)

And it comes with a strap so you can use it as a crossbody. I have it and it holds quite a bit and I like both the straps. It's held up nicely too, I've had it for about a year now.

I got a great bag at my local army surplus store that's lasted for years and looks great. They usually have a great selection of messenger bags in different materials.

I'm in college now and most things are digital. Most students in my program bring the following: laptop, netbook, or tablet; pencil case; and a half inch binder or notebook for things that are hard to type. A lot of lectures were from PowerPoint slides and I only needed to buy 2 text books this year. For me a messenger bag/ large purse sufficed. However, if you are in a more textbook heavy program, definitely get a knapsack. Also, if all your courses are in one section of campus, consider a locker rental. I think you'd have a better to idea of what type to of bag you eed closer to the start of classes.

I'd suggest a canvas backpack.
