When contouring with creams do you apply the lines and shapes before foundation or do you apply foundation and then contour? Also, after contouring is blush still necessary?? Help please(:

I think it it's preference and what look you're going for. I see it done twice. As in they do it under foundation then they redefine it with powders after foundation to set and intensify it. It's all up to you.
I like highlighting often.I do I under foundation, kinda. I do highlight then apply the foundation to areas that aren't highlighted, I go over the edges of the highlighted area only to blend it in. Sometimes I do take a stippling brush (they have sheer application) and apply a light layer of foundation over the highlight to kinda make everything more seamless.
Also, BLUSH IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART. Seriously. After sculpting the face, you need blush to give life back to the face so it's not so skeletal. You can also use it to emphasis the contour by applying it more on the sides of your cheeks rather than just the apple

In my opinion, blush is necessary if you want a flushed look in your cheeks. a lot of professional mua's still wear blush after contouring.
if you contour before foundation, you'll get a more subtle, natural finish. if you contour after it will be more defined & intense. it really just depends on the look you like best c:

Everything Symone said! I totally agree with the blush because foundation takes away your color. In order to make yourself look more natural you can add even just a real sheer application.

I find I contour better beneath my make up. I use really pale highlight and a extremely dark contour. Then blend it out fairly well and apply the foundation lightly on top. I hope that helps.

I'm the opposite of Lorna. I use my products after foundation if not I feel that they don't even show up. however, they're probably not as dark and light. I also use powders on top. it just really depends on what worka for you and makes you feel comfortable. I would try different techniques out. and don't skip out in blush, it really completes the look.
